Another cold day!

Our family enjoyed going to Clarkston International Bible Church this morning.



Great to see a baptism!

Pastor Phil did a good job preaching from Revelation on the letter to Laodocia. Not an easy sermon to preach since Jesus didn’t say much good about them!

Our team from Oakwood Baptist Church came to CIBC this morning too! They ate lunch with our church members.

Ashley and Myra wore the same stripes!

Ashley and I had a wonderful time working with our team from Oakwood Baptist Church in Chickamagua, GA!

We gave our briefing to the team. Ashley was amazing as always.

Sometimes I get slightly carried away.

Then enjoyed showing them the Buford Highway Farmers Market, one of our favorite places.

Then over to Plaza Fiesta!

We worked at Azalea Place, Huntington Terraces and Shallowford Gardens.

It was a great day, but SUPER cold outside! Yow!

We had a good lunch in Lawrenceville. Rested back home.

Got my taxes sent to my tax man. Always good to get that job done.

We had a nice walk at Mountain Park Park around sunset. It was beautiful.

K and I enjoyed watching Homeland Season 1 on DVD.

Admin duties now. Looking forward to working with our first Spring Break team this weekend.

I still have a problem with letting dogs drive.

Ashley got home late last night and enjoyed a fun Valentines with Miles, but she was missed at the mission!

We had our friend Josh come to help.



I worked in the 5th grade room with Ashley’s kids. I was worn out.

We had a good time together doing math and working on the Lusitania diary project with the kids.

I then told them the story of Noah. Kids seemed to enjoy it!

Josh, J and I ate Vietnamese on the way home.

Admin duties now. Looking forward to a day off tomorrow. Team comes into town Saturday morning.

Nearly a 1/2″ of rain yesterday.

I had a great time with some new partners from 12 Stone Church today, Matt and Danny!

They’re working with the youth group that will help us host block parties in Lawrenceville on March 2nd!

We went by Olde Salem and Hills at Greencrest apartments to check out the locations and meet with the managers.

It’s always fun for me to make new friends!

Went to Best Buy to take Ashley’s camera in for repairs. Also checked out the replacement camera. I’m going with the Elph 110 HS. For $149 that’s a great camera! They were out of it so I ordered it from another one of their stores. Hopefully, I’ll get it on Friday.

Picked up Jesse on the way to the mission. Wild day, since we didn’t have Ashley to help. She spoke at a church this evening. I know she did a GREAT job! She’s got amazing talent.

Kids seemed even wilder than usual. Welcome to the mission field.

I told Jesse how ridiculous is was to me when I was his age that anyone would CHARGE for water! It reminded me of this.

Carpet guys came by to redo the stains.


ZeroRez cost us a LOT more (like triple) what we normally spend. Didn’t last at all. Today they made it sound like it was impossible for those stains NOT to come back. I’m like, “Then why didn’t you tell us that in the first place before you went on and on about how it would fix it?” : ( Anyway, it’s clean again for now.

Tremendous amount of work with the kids at the mission today. LOTS of projects to get done, for the next day! I hate it when they wait till the last minute.

Enjoyed supper with K, Ashley and Jesse tonight. J and I both had an upset stomach before eating. Not sure what caused that.

This is a new year’s greeting in Chinese.

We had a fun weekend traveling to Columbia, SC! Actually, just outside of Columbia to a little town called Irmo. Gateway Baptist Church worked with us last Summer and has been a wonderful partner for us this year!

I wonder where they heard this from?

I spoke three times on Sunday morning on the Prodigal Son–I gave it an African twist.

Then talked about one of our mission kids that got lost. Finished off by praying for someone that the congregation knew that was lost. Seemed to be effective!

We enjoyed lunch with the congregation and other missionaries.

Ashley spoke in the evening service. She did great! No surprise there!

It was good to get back home. We unpacked the car and headed straight over to the mission at Azalea.

GREAT to see the kids. It was fun to see the reaction to the valentines that the kids at Gateway had made for our kids.

The girls were working on musical instruments.

It was good to go out of town. GREAT to get back home!

Came home to rest. Still not feeling that strong. We were supposed to go to visit with our Bengali friends, but I just didn’t have the energy.

We go to Columbia, SC tomorrow. I’ll be preaching three times on Sunday, so I’m trying to get rested up.

Still not feeling that great. My throat feels better. Yeah! Even though I didn’t drink this.

Had a fun lunch with Jesse. Always good. I liked this sign.

Went shopping for some supplies for the mission at Walmart. Also got some stuff for Valentines Day.

Worked with the kids at the mission. Started out slowly. Full house by the end!

Not feeling that great today. 94% is actually generous. I feel sort of like this balloon.

Scratchy throat and kind of weak. Hopefully, I’ll get a good night’s rest and feel better tomorrow! Pray for me!

J and I met up with Ashley at the mission. Kids sure were loud today. Yow!

I helped my 6th graders with the solar oven project.
