Spanish! Anthony! Bike! 5.21.20

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:57 pm

It rained almost exactly 1” yesterday.

Cool and cloudy today.

Studied Spanish.

Did some extra work on one particular verb. Quedar has lots of different meanings, and I hear it all the time.

Did my brain training.

Had a great chat with my buddy Anthony today.

I picked up groceries, cleaned them and brought them inside put them up.

Rode my bike 15.13 miles.

There was a lovely plant blooming. I’ve been waiting for it to flower for about two weeks now. Beautiful.

I did my memory work and listened to radio from Madrid. This evening I also listened to El Dragon in Spanish. I’ve watched over 50 hours of that show over the last month and a half. It really helps with my comprehension. I keep the Spanish subtitles on as well because it’s kind of hard to hear it.

Stone Mountain! Stir Fry! Podcast! 5.20.20

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:42 pm

Much cooler day today.

Down into the 50s!

Studied Spanish and did some verb work.

Brain training.

Using a new radar app now. Showed some rain going through our area.

Went to Stone Mountain to make some phone calls.

Had a good chat with my buddy Anthony Jacquin who is teaching me some cooking skills.

It’s less than 5 miles from my house to Stone Mountain. Takes around 10 minutes so that’s hardly any time at all. I like it when there’s hardly anyone there!

I came home and chopped onions and cooked them and mixed up vegetables for stir fry. Used my new wok for the first time. Had General Tso‘s sauce with it and was excellent!

Made a order for groceries.

Recorded a new episode of Verbal Surgery called, “Ramped up/Amped up!”

Had a good talk with my buddy Dan Smith in Dallas.

Fun day and always good to learn new skills!

Calls! Promo! Groceries! Bike! 5.19.20

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:59 pm

I studied Spanish this morning and did my brain training. Also worked on Spanish verbs.

I went to my new location to record and make calls today, which is at the base of Stone Mountain. It’s fabulous there.

I had a fun talk with my buddy Anthony Jacquin and showed him around the park a little bit.

Then a good conversation with another friend of mine in Italy, Caruso.

I worked on a project for a presentation I’ll be doing in July. It’s a worldwide simulcast of different speakers. It’s being run by SOFA TV out of Brazil. I had a great time with my Brazilian buddies a couple of years ago there.

Got my groceries from Walmart.

Mailed a small package to a friend of mine in Colorado.

Came home and cleaned up all my groceries before I brought them inside.

Heard from the chairman of my board today. He let me know how he was using a piece I worked on for him.

I rode my bike 15.19 miles.

Beautiful weather.

I listened to radio from Madrid as well as Harry Potter in Spanish.

Had 3/4 of an inch of rain yesterday.

I released a new episode of Verbal Surgery called “Dream Stompers.”

It’s a great one.

Part of the project for Brazil was making a release for the use of my video.

I got a small vial of meteorites today to give to friends when I visit people.

Very productive day.

Grandgirls! Laundry! Banana Bread! 5.18.20

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:10 pm

We enjoyed having the grand girls today! Always fun.

I was teaching them how to use binoculars and a magnifying glass. I even think most adults don’t properly know how to use or focus binoculars!

We went through different flowers in our neighborhood and I taught them what they’re called. I have several apps that can help me with that.

The weather and lushness of the surroundings really reminded be of Nairobi today.

A pull up diaper got washed with the clothes, so I had to shake every item out thoroughly.

Also vacuumed out the washing machine.

I got my wok in today! Looking forward to starting to stir fry things.

After the grand girls left, I studied Spanish.

It was a rainy day today. Big storm blew through.

I watched El Dragon to study Spanish.

Baked some banana bread.

I studied more verbs.

I enjoyed some time in my garden today.

Did my brain training this evening before working on my blog.

Spent some time studying my Thug Kitchen cook book.

Podcast! Audible! Bike! 5.17.20

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:50 pm

I studied Spanish and did my brain training this morning.

Beautiful day here in the ATL.

I listened to my friend Tito Ruiz preach on “Peace.”

Had a good talk with my buddy Anthony Jacquin and his wife.

I went to Stone Mountain today.

I’m going to start recording and doing my calls from there. I get a great cell signal and it’s so beautiful. It takes me about ten minutes to get there from my house.

Expecting some storms to roll through the ATL tonight.

Rode my bike 15.24 miles.

On my ride, I saw a dead owl. That made me sad.

I also saw a gaggle of geese. They always remind me of cows eating grass.

I listened to Harry Potter while I was riding my bike.

I have “easy” days and a “hard” days when I ride my bike. On “easy” days, I listen to radio from Madrid or to Harry Potter in Spanish. My “hard” days I review all the scripture and poetry that I can quote. It takes about an hour to go through everything that I know. Then I listen to Spanish for the last thirty minutes.

I got a notice from Audible that my membership was getting ready to renew. I had 12 credits that I hadn’t listened to so far. So I downloaded 12 books and I canceled my membership at least for now. If I didn’t use those credits in another two weeks I would lose them! That’s crazy talk.

I’ve got a good supply of material to listen to now. I downloaded 11 out of 12 items in Spanish.

It’s just my preferred way to listen to things now. Just seems like I’m studying while I’m listening to things. I get about 80% of most of what I hear. Sometimes almost everything. It reminds me of biking. If I bike every day, I get stronger and stronger. If I listen to Spanish and study every day, I just get better and better.

I recorded a new episode of Verbal Surgery called “Wandering Wondering.”

It’s a good one.

The episodes with the 999 numbers were recorded before the Covid lockdown, but they’re still new.

Watered my plants after I got home.

Beautiful day here in Atlanta.

I had a fun talk with my buddy Anthony.

I went to Stone Mountain to find some new places to record. I’m looking for a place that’s beautiful and still has good cell signal.

Did some research about COVID-19 and how the state of Georgia is doing on that.

I rode my bike 15.22 miles.

I did most of my memory work in that time. I also listened to radio from Madrid, Spain.

I got a notice from Runkeeper that I’ve had an exceptionally good week of exercise.

Had a good talk with Jess this evening. Always fun.

Grandgirls! Bank! Bike! Brownies! 5.12.20

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:30 pm

Beautiful day today.

Deposited checks. That’s always a good feeling.

We enjoyed having the grandgirls over!

I took two squirrels to other areas today.

Had a good visit with my treasurer, Jon Paul.

I recorded a new episode of Verbal Surgery. Always enjoy doing that.

While I was recording, I watched a youngster riding his bike run right into a mailbox. I checked on him, he was fine.

Good chat with my buddy, Anthony.

Released a new episode of Verbal Surgery called “Same Difference.” It’s a good one!

Made an order for curbside pick up for my groceries.
