Grandgirls! Azalea! 10.21.21

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:14 pm

I always find Seth Godin’s blog worthwhile.

I will get a booster. Still need to do more research on what kind. I had the Johnson and Johnson shot. Now there’s some thought that perhaps taking the other type of shot might be better. Mix and match for a more robust effect against the virus.

I’ve experienced this on a number of items.

OYB!

Cloudy with some sprinkles today.
\

I continue to teach the kids on Fridays, although the Moms really just didn’t have the time nor interest, so I don’t have students to teach ESL to.

Love my girls!

Ashley is such a blessing!

Beautiful sunrise!

As opposed to your fantasy?

Always a handy word!

My buddy Anthony Jacquin lives in this district of England and has been to this book store.

I worked on Everly’s finger and toenails this morning. I painted them with this super-sparkly nail polish.

I used the fans to dry the nails rapidly.

I got some things for Jessi’s birthday party.

We went to Dollar Tree to pick up decorations and gifts for the party.

Then to Goodwill for toys and shoes. And over to Hot and Cold for lunch. The topper is always the fried doughnuts. We dip them in the vanilla or chocolate puddings. Everly likes both. I stick to vanilla.

Harry!

Español!

We took Penelope over to the Buford Highway Farmers Market for chicken fingers, mac and cheese and rice.

Helped the kids with their homework.

Tasfia is a good friend of Penelope and Everly. Today, the grandgirls came over and asked me, “Pop Pop, Tasfia needs your help.” Each of them came separately and give me that message. She was too shy to came over to the table with the other kids, so I came over to where she was sitting on this low wall with Everly.

Brought home some potato samosas for K.

Helped the kids with their homework.

I liked this drawing by one of the mission kids.

Cirrus!

Penelope loves unicorns!

I decided to get a water measurer for my Ficus. It’s really hard to tell how dry the soil is and it does not like getting too wet.

Car codes.

Released a new episode of Verbal Surgery called, “Want to Care.” So good!

Harry!

Checked the mail at the office.

Everly! K’s Doctor! Azalea! 10.19.21

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:02 pm

I find this marvelous.

Our power went out about 2:30 this morning for about an hour and a half. I always call Walton to let them know.

OYB!

Palabras!

New work week starts with my sweet little partner!

My back still hurts, but I’m healing rapidly and completely.

Another beautiful day.

Spent about twenty minutes working on Everly’s hair. Every time I take a picture and she always says, “I love it.”

I took Kathy to her lung doctor today. I need to go because she doesn’t even know what questions she needs to ask. Her CPAP machine had a recall, BUT we didn’t use the cleaning machine that caused the problem with the machine, so the doctor felt we could keep using it safely, which is exactly what I thought. BUT, I’m not a doctor and I like to get a professional’s estimation of the situation!

After the appointment, we picked up Everly and went to Metro Cafe. We enjoyed our meal and had a great Reese’s Pieces cheesecake. Her sweet little lips and a chocolate ring around them. She liked it off just before I took the picture. So cute.

I’m not sure I wanted to see this.

Harry.

Mas cada dia.

Helped the kids at the mission.

Gorgeous clouds.

Went by my office to check the mail.

So beautiful.

Go Daddy! Podcast! Plants! 10.18.21

Tim A. Cummins @ 6:08 pm

I enjoyed this article on correcting perspective.

And this one on curiosity!

My buddy Anthony is in Greece sailing. I showed him a picture of a Greek fisherman’s hat I used to wear when I was a Freshman at Baylor.

Funny.

Español!

I renewed the domain name for Verbal Surgery for a couple of years this morning.

OYB!

Cada dia.

I bleached cleaned my hummingbird feeders. Let them soak in fresh water for a day and then dried them all out this afternoon. I’ll store them in this state till about next March.

Beauty!

Mas Harry.

I recorded a new episode of Verbal Surgery called “Purple Cupcake.”

Downloaded it onto my Mac.

I cleaned out this container in preparation for putting my carnivorous plants outside for their dormant season.

If the container is clean, more light can get to them. If it gets in the mid 30s I bring them inside.

I watered my indoor garden.

Peachtree Corners BC! Nana! Podcast! 10.17.21

I hurt my back yesterday lifting one of the heavy plants. Felt pretty bad this morning.

I like these.

Español!

OYB!

Such a beautiful day! Still glad I got the plants in!

I spoke to all the children and all the young people at Peachtree Corners BC this morning.

Kathy and I went to eat at the BAPS Hindu temple this afternoon. It was beautiful weather and the food was good. I loved hearing all the Indian languages around me. It reminded me of being in Nairobi and India.

I released a new episode of Verbal Surgery called, “Act Like Blank.”

So good.

I had a good talk with my Mom this evening. Always a blessing!

I recorded a new edition of Verbal Surgery called, “Arctic Heat.”

Plants! Prep! Test! 10.16.21

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:39 pm

Teehee.

It was windy! My hat tried to get away!

A good buddy of mine got married this week. Congrats, Kev!

Wow!

Just do it.

Español!

Paid a bill.

Cada dia.

It felt like it was going to rain this morning. Then completely cleared off.

It’s supposed to get into the 40s for the next few days. I moved all my external plants inside. It’s a heavy job. They stay inside for about six months.

I used this old door as a ramp for my dolly and cart. That helped a LOT.

Penelope left her ring in my car.

Senor Potter!

I went to the Dollar Tree to pick up some supplies for my presentation at Peachtree Corners Baptist Church. These are examples of toys for Christmas and for block parties. I also got markers to write on the notecards.

I got all the stuff in my car ready to go to the gig tomorrow. I’m speaking at the children and in the youth departments. It will be very interactive.

Kathy regularly has to take tests for her Day Care job. I helped her with the computer end of things. It was a little tricky because I had to set up a new account. No big deal. It was on my Mac, so she kind of knew how to work it because it’s like her iPhone.

It was the Civil Rights and nutrition element.

I joined a Atlanta Film group a couple of days ago. It’s fun to see what’s going on locally.

She’s so beautiful!

Con cross hatch.

Ordered groceries and picked them up this evening.

I took Everly to Zoo Atlanta this morning. We had fun. She gets tired after about an hour, but we can still see most of our favorites. We spent time at the reptile section today, which we hardly ever do.

Swahili!

We had a good lunch at Taco Veloz after the Zoo.

I love Penelope’s art.

Helped the kids at the mission.

Went by my office to check the mail.

Got groceries.

Teehee.

I liked this from Seth Godin’s blog.

OYB!

Español!

Magnificent daughter!

Uno mas dia.

Everly has fun seeing creative with the dolls and play dough.

She decided she need to put hot sauce on the cookies. I pretended to fan my mouth. Funny.

Didn’t know the word for “complaints.”

These spider webs are really something.

These are the first words kids have to learn.

Helped the kids at the mission.

I was glad that Kathy came to help today. Thursday is always the hardest day.

Everly! PCBC! Azalea! Podcast! 10.13.21

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:48 pm

Wow!

Ashley’s team at the eye clinic are learning new software. This reminded me of that.

OYB!

Living in the clouds.

Español!

I saw this on my way to Global Mall this morning.

This coincides with the report I read of jobs quit.

Lots of movies being shot in our area.

Deposited checks.

I got some bananas on the way home. Made some banana smoothies. Made extra for Kathy to enjoy. Better than eating junk food!

Everly and I ate at Waffle House. It was her choice.

I’ll be speaking to the children and youth at Peachtree Corners Baptist Church this coming Sunday. It’s the first weekend of their mission month.

Keep learning!

Pastor Jay Hackett of PCBC came to hang out with me today. I took them to Plaza Fiesta for lunch and Safari.

Patrick is their Communications guy.

And of course my little partner. What a blessing she is!

Helped the kids at the mission.

You have to have a wide breadth of knowledge to help all these kids.

Even the little kids get in on the act.

WD40 is the best way to clean the Dry Erase boards.

Turned out to be a beautiful day.

Harry!

Released a new episode of Verbal Surgery called “I Am Gasoline.” POW!

Everly! Stone Mountain Pumpin Fest! Overnight! Azalea! 10.11-12.21

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:25 pm

Everly spent the night Monday night. The blog contains two days.

I’d love to see something like this!

Mind boggling. I actually have people ask me things like, “I know a guy from Nigeria. Would you happen to know him?”

Fascinating. I try to live like this.

Boo!

Tee hee.

Español!

OYB!

Ordered groceries. Picked them up later Monday evening.

Mas dias.

I took Everly over to the Doggie Park.

I parked by a car owned by Ethiopians. This is Amheric.

We also went to the Goose Park. WAY fewer people. You can tell what a mess her hair was in this shot. I worked on it for nearly an hour Tuesday morning. It’s a labor of love.

She’s so beautiful.

Gorgeous clouds.

Monday evening, Everly and I went to Stone Mountain for the Pumpkin Festival. We got in for free because we have the annual pass. That has really been a great deal for us!

I love to shoot Christmas lights and move the camera as the shutter is open. I call it “swishy lights.”

Cool pumpkins!

We had so much fun.

She slept well and because she was at my house already, we didn’t have to get up as early as normal. I kept that light on all night long.

OYB!

Otra dia!

I spent time this morning working on her hair and trimming her nails.

She’s alway so enthusiastic when she sees the final results. “I love it!”

I bought her play dough for her reward for being so patient while I worked on her hair. She took it in with her while we ate Vietnamese food at Pho 24.

I only had one car seat, so I swung by Taco Veloz to pick up eggs, rice and beans for Penelope to eat when she got home.

Helped the kids at the mission with their homework.

Harry!
