Hey Everybody!

The last few months at Oakbrook have been going great! About a week ago, we had over forty elementary to middle school kids come to the mission. I was so happy to see that the kids had taken an interest in what we had to offer and were inviting their friends! However, that many kids are hard to keep under control. I was in the mission trying to round them up and tell them a Bible stroy when the door flow open and Oscar, the manager of the complex, ran in and ordered everyone to leave!

He's said that a few residents had complained that we were being too loud. He also said that the mission would be shut down until we got everyone organized and better behaved. Organized? Behaved? Those are hard qualities to come by in my mission children. I apologized and said that I just hadn't heen prepared to handle so many kids. Once Oscar left I sat down and prayed.

My first though was that this intrusion was strainght from the Devil. I prayed that God would help me know what to do. I was scared that the mission might be shut down. I felt like I've already made such an impact in this little amount of time, I could only imagine what could be done in the future. Oakbrook is full of possibilities. But we need help! Pray that God will send us reinforcements!

Love,
Ashley
