Hello everyone! This past month my Mom has been riding with me as I do missions so I thought I'd let y'all hear from her!
One month ago my mother, Nell Doverspike, went to Heaven.
Several of my siblings have said, "I'll pick up the phone and call Mama." But there is no Mama or Daddy to call. My parents faithfully served the Lord for over fifty years! Now we hold the torch!
I've enjoyed going with Ashley to Kensington Station Apartments. Our first assignment is to find the children and help them get to the clubhouse. Ashley and crew (Mandy Giles, Terry Earl and Ray Vaughn) are wonderful volunteers. The best part of the day is being with Ash! She lets me drive as she answers her phone and plans events.
I've also been going with Ashley to lead the Reading Program in the homes. It's very interesting. Ashley and I teach and visit with the families. I've really enjoyed getting to know the family from Honduras! I've been helping Bianca read books about sea creatures. She especially likes the dolphins and whales! The family has made me feel welcome in their home. It has been a wonderful experience.
There are so many children that need help. If their parents can't read English how can they help their children with their homework? Are you available? We need to "Take the Church, To the People!"
Please pray for Whirlwind Missions! Thanks for your support!
