Remember Kyrone? He's the naughty boy who wrote me the note that said "Die Ashley! I'm going to kill you!" However, through lots of prayer from y'all and dedication Kyrone is now this amazing boy!

About a week ago, only three boys came to the mission: Kyrone, Sebastian and Miguel. At first, I was a bit upset. I sometimes feel that the fewer children who come the less impact I can make on the community. I was completely wrong! The boys came in and without the girls to pester they just sat there content doing their school work. I helped them finish their packets and told them the Bible story about Jesus walking on the water. I started it by filling up three buckets of water and asked them to walk on top of the water. Of course no one could do it. They wanted to know how Jesus did it. I told them it was a miracle. A word not in their vocabulary I went on telling more stories about Jesus and his miracles to explain it. I must have told at least five! The boys just sat and asked questions! They were enjoying it so much! It seemed like they really wanted to know who this Jesus "superhero" was. I was so happy that these boys were interested. It really made me realize that numbers aren't everything and sometimes the fewer you have the better because you can spend more one on one time teaching. The next day I got there Kyrone was at the door waiting for me. He said he came to help me clean. So I let him in and he started vacuuming and picking up trash from outside. I stood flabbergasted. What a dramatic change! I couldn't believe this once trouble maker was now rising up to be an amazing leader.

Thank you so much for praying! It has really made a difference! It's only been a few months and it only gets better! Help lead these children to Jesus by praying they have a want to learn about his kingdom.

With love, Ashley
