Progress Report - 2001-2002
- Since the beginning of Whirlwind Missions in August, 2001 we have mobilized 2,891 volunteers from over 100 churches and 5 different denominations. As of the end of July 2002 we have had 71 people pray to accept Christ as their personal Savior.
- Whirlwind Missions provides After School programs, English as Second Language classes, Health fairs, Community Events and Worship Services.
- We have work in 52 different apartment complexes in Metroplex Atlanta. Our ministry now covers Atlanta, Marietta, Roswell, Norcross, Chambee, Doraville, Riverdale and Clarkston.
- Whirlwind Missions hosted 64 Outreach Events in its first year!
- We have missionaries living on site at three complexes now: Huntingdon Terraces, Huntingdon Station and Huntingdon Ridge.
- We have Missions at 20 locations and Mission Points at 32 locations.
- Whirlwind Missions now has work in three counties around Metroplex Atlanta.
- Whirlwind Missions is now partners with the North American Mission Board, Operation Blessing, Youth With A Mission, Campus Crusade for Christ, Mission North America, the Women's Missionary Union of Texas, Youth for Christ, Here's Life Inner City and the Atlanta Association of Southern Baptists as well as over 20 evangelical congregations.
- Tim has served as an officer of the Property Managers Association of Chamblee and Doraville for 3 years.
- Tim has worked with the Gang Task Force in anti-crime efforts with the Chamblee Police Department, Dekalb County Police Department and has provided information for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. He has been recognized as an influential community leader in DeKalb County by the State of Georgia.
- Tim was a key note speaker at the Women's Missionary Union Leadership Conference in Waco, Texas. He has shared the story of Whirlwind Missions in over 20 churches and with thousands of concerned believers.
- An Whirlwind Missions was published in the Mission Mosaic magazine.

- A Mission is where we have regular work such as English as a Second Language, After School Programs and Church Services/Bible Studies. Whirlwind Missions has been given an apartment or an area where we can do ministry for free. A Mission Point is where we have work during the Summer or when we have special help, but do not have an inside location.
