Progress Report - 2003
- We have had 168 conversions in our missions.
- We have 19 Missions with regular work each week.
- We now have work in Roswell, Conyers, Norcross, Clarkston, Chamblee, Doraville, Atlanta, Avondale, Clarkston, Tucker, and Lawrenceville.
- Tim was named the "Missionary of the Year" by the North American Mission Board for 2003-2004.
- Whirlwind Missions has hosted 58 Outreach Events this year.
- We worked in 31 complexes this Summer and hosted 32 teams.
- There have been over 3,495 volunteers who have come through our missions. We expect over 250 more before end of the year.
- We started new work in Southern Trace, Oaktree, Wyncrest, Indian Valley and Briarlake Village. Several Mission Points have converted into full time Missions.
- Whirlwind Missions was chosen as one of three recipients for the offering of Unite Atlanta.
- Whirlwind Missions handled the logistics for the Unite! "Compassion in Action" weekend for Perimeter Church, Vineyard and Victory.
- Over 1,000 college students shared their faith and passed out food in 25 complexes during the Campus Crusade Winter Retreat.
- Whirlwind Missions handled logistics for the "Impact Atlanta" event with First Baptist Atlanta.
- We are in the process of a major upgrade in our www.whirlwindmissions.org web site.
- We have added major churches to our partners including First Baptist Church of Duluth, Victory World Church, Vineyard, Mt. Pisgah, Mt. Hebron, New Church of Atlanta, Atlanta Chinese Christian Church North, North Point Community Church, First Baptist Church Conyers and Calvary Christian Fellowship to name a few.
- Tim was the keynote speaker for the Texas WMU "Cargo" conference for young people.
- Whirlwind Missions was invited to participate in the White House Faith Based Task Force. Tim is also on the Georgia FBTF.
- Tim was asked to participate in the Crime Watch/Manager's Meetings for the Central Precinct of Dekalb County.
- We are starting a computer center in our mission at Oakbrook with the help of Greater Faith Baptist Church.
