Progress Report - 2006

• Whirlwind Missions has continued to grow around Metro Atlanta. We have expanded into Lithonia, Tucker and Sugar Loaf and added missions in Atlanta, Clarkston, Lawrenceville, and Marietta. Our work covers Norcross, Chamblee, Doraville, Tucker, Atlanta, Duluth, Clarkston, Conyers, Lawrenceville, Dekalb county, Gwinnett County and Fulton County.


• During one week of the Summer, we had over 800 volunteers in 32 locations. Campus Crusade had over 600 students handing out boxes of food and sharing the Gospel in 62 locations in December! We hosted over 2.400 volunteers this year.


• We have regular ongoing work in 38 complexes around Metro Atlanta.


• We are partnering with Sugarloaf Community Church and our board member Pastor Tito Ruiz to plant a new Spanish speaking congregation.


• Our web site is the model for apartment ministry in America. There is an extensive Training section which spells out in detail how to start this type of ministry. There are also video and audio programs to download.


• We have had teams from nearly every State east of the Mississippi River work with us this year. We have also had several Texas teams come help.


• We have over 29,000 photos on line which include virtual tours of every mission, pictures of every team that has worked with us as well as donations, Outreach Events and Training Material.


• We have added new partners including Crossroads Community Church, Eastside Baptist Church, FBC Marietta, Roswell St. Baptist Church, World Harvest Church, First United Methodist Alpharetta, Greater Faith Baptist Church, True Tabernacle of Praise, North Peachtree Baptist Church, Zion Baptist Church and Crosspointe Baptist Church.


• We have provided exercise equipment for the four major areas of our ministry: Buford Highway, Jimmy Carter, Clarkston and Marietta.


• Our new business partners include Movers and Shakers, GALEO, and South Precinct of Dekalb County.


• Tim has served in mission conferences at Zion Baptist Church, Roswell Street Baptist Church, FBC Atlanta, Grace Fellowship, Peachtree Corners BC, Midway Macedonia BC, Blackshear Place BC, FBC Conyers, to name a few.


• We were involved with renovations of FBC Doraville where our HQ is located.


• We have expanded our partnership with the Police departments and have ongoing work with the Dekalb PD, Chamblee PD, Doraville PD, Fulton County PD and Gwinnett County PD.


• We have had over 300 people accept Christ this year!
