Audible! Shower!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Seems like today had a water theme.<\/p>\n<p>Studied Swahili and Spanish this morning. I got this email from Duolingo today. It was leaking in from one of the downspouts. Jesse helped me rig up a series of tarps to keep the water from getting in until I can get my gutter man over here to replace them.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Something-Different\/Flood--Recording--5-16-18\/i-pTX6SGj\/0\/a7a2195e\/M\/2018051619321636-7585930912_IMG_1866-M.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\nThey have to be a least 45 years old!<br \/>\nThe tarps keeps any leaks out and funnel all the water away from the house.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Something-Different\/Flood--Recording--5-16-18\/i-GRc4HkG\/0\/5bce26e6\/M\/2018051619321636-7585930912_IMG_1867-M.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\nMan, did seeing that make me happy!<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Something-Different\/Flood--Recording--5-16-18\/i-D5GnVmM\/0\/2f9b991e\/M\/2018051619321636-7585930912_IMG_1868-M.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\nLast week, I found a place to do my recording: FBC Mountain Park!<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Something-Different\/Flood--Recording--5-16-18\/i-Lxg9pqf\/0\/9bc5facd\/M\/2018051619321636-7585930912_IMG_1874-M.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\nIt doesn&#8217;t sound quite as good as a real studio, but good enough!<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Something-Different\/Flood--Recording--5-16-18\/i-5FZdxBZ\/0\/780001ca\/M\/2018051619321636-7585930912_IMG_1873-M.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\nThe requirements for the settings for the recording are quite stringent.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Something-Different\/Flood--Recording--5-16-18\/i-9HrwKJx\/0\/f8310758\/M\/2018051619321636-7585930912_IMG_1872-M.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\nThe flourescent lights in the room had a pretty bad buzz. I went to Walmart to get a desk light so I didn&#8217;t have to run them. This is a clip on light I got for Jesse&#8217;s plants.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Something-Different\/Flood--Recording--5-16-18\/i-nKj6spp\/0\/fbc5b114\/M\/2018051619321636-IMG_1492-M.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\nNeeds a bulb!<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Something-Different\/Flood--Recording--5-16-18\/i-d97NjDK\/0\/54fa0701\/M\/2018051619321636-IMG_1493-M.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\nI had a problem with the sheet ripping on my bed. The foam mattress was very degraded and crumbling. I repaired the sheet and flipped the mattress. A lot better now!<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Something-Different\/Flood--Recording--5-16-18\/i-97z2Srk\/0\/72b1e726\/M\/2018051619321636-7585930912_IMG_1875-M.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\nDid more caulking when I got home.<br \/>\nCurrently, I&#8217;m checking on the shower repair.  I&#8217;m giving it a few minutes to make sure the repair is ok! I&#8217;ll stop and go check it now.  My heart is beating a little fast!<br \/>\nYES!!  Still dry!  Now I hope that when I check the front wall of the shower it will still be ok.  I had the front wall covered with a thin sheet of plastic while I took a shower to verify that the side wall was fixed.  Which it looks like it is.
