Kathy and I had a fun vacation in the N. Georgia mountains. I made sure all my bird feeders were up to date before we left.

\nWe went for a ride around Clayton on Sunday evening. It was the first time K had ridden a bike in over a year.
\n\"\"
\nI’d ridden over 1,000 miles in the last year!
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\nPowerful storms in the area!
\n\"\"
\nWe’ve stayed at Regal Inn a lot over the last fifteen years. It was our first time back in five years.
\n\"\"
\nWe like #12.
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\nMonday, we hiked to the bottom of Tallulah Gorge. K made it more than half way. She hates the swinging bridge.
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\nI hiked all the way to the bottom. When I was there, the siren went off! It’s supposed to signal a major water release from the dam! Supposedly, it was only a test. Yow!
\nWhole lotta steps!
\n\"\"
\nI actually thought it was pretty easy. I reckon that shows that I’ve been exercising a lot!
\nAlways something beautiful to see!
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\nGood times!
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

Tuesday, K and I went to Dillard House to eat.
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\nK liked the horses.
\n\"\"
\nGorgeous grounds!
\n\"\"
\nThen went to look for antiques.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

\nI bought this replica of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem. It’s fantastic!
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\nI love seeing weird stuff like this.
\n\"\"
\nI went for a bike ride that evening.
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\n\"\"\"\"
\n\"\"
\n\"\"\"\"<\/p>\n

Wednesday, we went for a ride by Lake Rabun. Pretty tough!
\n\"\"
\nSaw a dead copperhead.
\n\"\"
\nBeauty!
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\nHad some hard rain that evening.
\n\"\"
\nEnjoyed Mexican food. Loved the art work.
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\nPlayed with bubbles that evening.
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\nThursday, I went to Otto, NC to look at antiques.
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\nI bought this little indian. Reminded me of the Cherokee tribe, which lived in this area. I have Cherokee blood in me.
\n\"\"
\nI liked this hat. But didn’t get it.
\n\"\"
\nLots of fun stuff to see.
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\nWhen I got back to Clayton, K and I went to Tallulah Gorge to ride along the Tallulah River. It was a pretty easy ride.
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\nWe rode all the way to Lakemont. I met K there, then rode back to get the car and came and got her.
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\nThat evening, we went up to Black Rock state park. It overlooks Clayton and the Blue Ridge mountains. It’s the highest state park in Georgia.
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\nGreat way to end the day, although the drive made K really scared.
\nWe packed up our bags on Friday morning and headed back to the ATL! A great and renewing time. Ready for school again!
\nAlways wonderful to hang out with the little girls! K and I took them to the pool at Stone Mountain and then to the park there.
\n\"\"
\nThey are both great climbers!
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\nI saw some interesting mushrooms while we were there.
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

I love Stone Mountain!

\nAfter Ashley picked up the girls, Jesse helped me plant my new carniverous plants!
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
