{"id":1292,"date":"2009-12-25T18:53:18","date_gmt":"2009-12-25T22:53:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.org\/blog\/?p=1292"},"modified":"2009-12-25T19:17:59","modified_gmt":"2009-12-25T23:17:59","slug":"christmas-history","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/whirlwindmissions.org\/blog\/?p=1292","title":{"rendered":"Christmas &#038; History!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For the first time in seven years, our family stayed in Stone Mountain rather than going to Texas. <\/p>\n<p>It was a rainy day yesterday, but today was mild.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/Family\/Christmas-Day-2009-DavidDebi\/IMG4439\/749472382_eEf4p-M.jpg\" alt=\"r\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/Family\/Christmas-Day-2009-DavidDebi\/IMG4353\/749465851_SkpsW-M.jpg\" alt=\"t\" \/><\/p>\n<p> I sure did miss seeing my parents and brother, but it was fun to spend time with the Doverspike clan!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/Family\/Christmas-Day-2009-DavidDebi\/IMG4288\/749461382_r47u8-M.jpg\" alt=\"k\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/Family\/Christmas-Day-2009-DavidDebi\/IMG4297\/749462052_BJSBV-M.jpg\" alt=\"b\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/Family\/Christmas-Day-2009-DavidDebi\/IMG4347\/749465429_F8wMx-M.jpg\" alt=\"d\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It was fun to get together!  We had delicious food and great company.<\/p>\n<p>We had a gift distribution.  K and I tried something different.  She&#8217;d bought a bunch of tools that were on clearance from Ace Hardware.  We put the box in the floor and people got to pick out the tools they wanted.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/Family\/Christmas-Day-2009-DavidDebi\/IMG4396\/749468768_DxTcE-M.jpg\" alt=\"t\" \/><\/p>\n<p> Seemed to be a popular gift.  Seems like so much of the time we get gifts that we really don&#8217;t need or want.<\/p>\n<p>While we were there, Debi Doverspike showed me a photo album that my mother in law Nell Doverspike had put together around 1947.  I had fun taking pictures of pictures!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/History\/Nell-DuvallDoverspike\/IMG4367\/749466704_49C2E-S.jpg\" alt=\"n\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/History\/Nell-DuvallDoverspike\/IMG4382\/749467707_CNjui-S.jpg\" alt=\"b\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/History\/Nell-DuvallDoverspike\/IMG4335\/749464742_h9JBr-S-1.jpg\" alt=\"b\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Came home to relax and work on admin stuff.<\/p>\n<p>I have my computer hooked up through my TV so I&#8217;m able to work with a wireless keyboard and mouse.
