{"id":1404,"date":"2010-01-20T22:41:35","date_gmt":"2010-01-21T02:41:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.org\/blog\/?p=1404"},"modified":"2010-01-20T22:41:48","modified_gmt":"2010-01-21T02:41:48","slug":"clarkston-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/whirlwindmissions.org\/blog\/?p=1404","title":{"rendered":"Clarkston Team"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>GREAT day today!<\/p>\n<p>Jesse and I went to Reboot.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/Partners\/Clarkston-Oaks-team\/IMG4756\/769576006_rEWbk-S.jpg\" alt=\"r\" \/><\/p>\n<p>They are my partners that refurbish computers to be used by ministries and handicapped\/poor folks. <\/p>\n<p> We picked up three more computers to help the kids with their homework.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/Partners\/Clarkston-Oaks-team\/IMG4758\/769576509_EqwKF-S.jpg\" alt=\"r\" \/><br \/>\nI stopped at Zaxby&#8217;s to get Jesse some chicken fingers.  I&#8217;d eaten earlier.  I thought this sign on the wall was funny.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/Partners\/Clarkston-Oaks-team\/IMG4757\/769576332_ohFez-S.jpg\" alt=\"s\" \/><br \/>\nThen back to Clarkston to meet up with more of the team that&#8217;s partnering together for the Clarkston Oaks project.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/Partners\/Clarkston-Oaks-team\/IMG4765\/769576806_JhGCw-S.jpg\" alt=\"c\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It was great to meet the owner as well as the main contractor for the project.  It&#8217;ll be a lot of work but in an EXTREMELY needy are of Atlanta.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/Partners\/Clarkston-Oaks-team\/IMG4764\/769576592_bNcyr-S.jpg\" alt=\"t\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Went by my office at FBC Doraville to meet up with another partner, Frances Price.  I always think of her as Santa Claus.  She&#8217;s been a HUGE advocate for us at FBC Atlanta, collecting hundreds of gifts for the kids at the mission.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/Partners\/Clarkston-Oaks-team\/IMG4766\/769576959_82NHE-S.jpg\" alt=\"f\" \/><\/p>\n<p>She&#8217;ll be helping Bayo at Huntington Terraces.  We went by the mission to introduce her to Bayo and make sure she knew where the mission was.  I think that is going to be be a terrific partnership.  Bayo collected a bunch of clothes to give to the folks in the complex.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/Partners\/Clarkston-Oaks-team\/IMG4767\/769577148_bYGTo-S.jpg\" alt=\"c\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Looks like the great folks at FBC Mountain Park are going to come through for me again to get the tile floor repaired at Bayo&#8217;s mission.  PTL for that great church!<\/p>\n<p>J and I then went on over to Azalea to check on the kids.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/Partners\/Clarkston-Oaks-team\/IMG4770\/769576655_XbD4f-S.jpg\" alt=\"j\" \/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/Partners\/Clarkston-Oaks-team\/IMG4769\/769576465_abAgh-S.jpg\" alt=\"a\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been praying for one of my kid&#8217;s dad&#8217;s who&#8217;s been out of work.  Found out today that he got a job!  He told me, &#8220;My Dad&#8217;s been playing Jesus music all day long.  He says it&#8217;s Jesus that got him the job!&#8221;  Had to agree!<\/p>\n<p>Back home now.  Working on admin stuff.
