{"id":1471,"date":"2010-02-03T00:50:16","date_gmt":"2010-02-03T04:50:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.org\/blog\/?p=1471"},"modified":"2010-02-03T00:50:16","modified_gmt":"2010-02-03T04:50:16","slug":"gwinnett-crossings-and-azalea","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/whirlwindmissions.org\/blog\/?p=1471","title":{"rendered":"Gwinnett Crossings and Azalea"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This afternoon I met up with my partners Marco Solano, Mark &#038; Cathy Wilson and their daughter Lea.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/Partners\/Marco-Solano-and-Cathy-Wilson\/IMG5515\/779720260_wepy7-S.jpg\" alt=\"m\" \/><\/p>\n<p> Of course my wingman Jesse was also with me.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/Missions\/Azalea-Place\/Azalea-2210\/IMG5522\/779720713_WX25b-S.jpg\" alt=\"j\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We went to Gwinnett Crossings to talk to the new management about re-establish a mission there.  The Wilsons are willing to direct that new work, so I&#8217;m looking foward to having it move forward.<\/p>\n<p>The manager was at corporate, but we got to meet the rest of the staff and see the facility where we can have the after school program.  Hopefully, we&#8217;ll be able to get the program started immediately.<\/p>\n<p>J and I also went to Walmart to pick up supplies for the mission and to my office at FBC Doraville to pick up bills.  Jesse is really interested in learning about running a business.  So I&#8217;m letting him help me write checks, enter into the ledger and track it on a spreadsheet on a computer. Good real world practice.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/Missions\/Azalea-Place\/Azalea-2210\/IMG5519\/779720766_dmdao-S.jpg\" alt=\"j\" \/><br \/>\nWe went by Azalea to help the kids with their homework.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/Missions\/Azalea-Place\/Azalea-2210\/IMG5520\/779720443_Lgifc-S.jpg\" alt=\"t\" \/><\/p>\n<p> Some of the little ones are so cute.<br \/>\n   <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/Missions\/Azalea-Place\/Azalea-2210\/IMG5521\/779720570_zdDNV-S.jpg\" alt=\"m\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/Missions\/Azalea-Place\/Azalea-2210\/IMG5518\/779720638_rxq89-S.jpg\" alt=\"mm\" \/><\/p>\n<p>They try really hard.  Good for them!<\/p>\n<p>I bought my tickets for Costa Rica tonight.  Yeah!  I&#8217;ll leave on April 10, returning on the 24th.  My goal is extensive language study and recon for mission trip teams.  Really looking forward to it.<\/p>\n<p>I still need to finish the last of my admin work.  Awesome!<\/p>\n<p>Jesse says they genetically engineered these fish to look these colors.
