Azalea! Slam! Bam!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Put a lot of miles on the ol&#8217; Chrysler today!<\/p>\n<p>J and I went to Willow Branch in Clarkston to pick up Bennett Ekandem.  We had fun chatting with him on the way to the North American Mission Board.  We had a meeting with Mike Riggins, our supervisor at the Board.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/Missions\/Azalea-Place\/Azalea-5411\/i-N5ncHVc\/0\/S\/img_4179-S.jpg\" alt=\"m\" \/><br \/>\nWe had a great chat talking about our mission work and a situation that we&#8217;re dealing with.  It&#8217;s not always easy to keep the whole team moving together, but we certainly do our best to do that!<\/p>\n<p>J and I dropped off Bennett then came back home for a couple of hours.<\/p>\n<p>Jesse has been interested in racquetball lately.  I&#8217;ve been teaching him a few things about the sport.  We bang the ball around in our garage and generally have a good time.  Never too much Jesse!<\/p>\n<p>Then off to the church to check the mail and then to Azalea to help the kids with their homework.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/Missions\/Azalea-Place\/Azalea-5411\/i-dZ39HSf\/0\/S\/img_4182-S.jpg\" alt=\"n\" \/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/Missions\/Azalea-Place\/Azalea-5411\/i-XWbGMm5\/0\/S\/img_4183-S.jpg\" alt=\"j\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Bengali ladies are studying English now!  I was so proud of my wife getting them into school yesterday!<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/Missions\/Azalea-Place\/Azalea-5411\/i-2JbZX8X\/0\/S\/img_4184-S.jpg\" alt=\"b\" \/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/Missions\/Azalea-Place\/Azalea-5411\/i-brBJ4pf\/0\/S\/img_4189-S.jpg\" alt=\"m\" \/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/Missions\/Azalea-Place\/Azalea-5411\/i-tFMcV8t\/0\/S\/img_4187-S.jpg\" alt=\"b\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I saw Jimmy this afternoon at the mission.  He won 3rd place at the State track meet.  WOW!  I&#8217;m so proud of him!<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/Missions\/Azalea-Place\/Azalea-5411\/i-hzPRcdQ\/0\/S\/img_4180-S.jpg\" alt=\"j\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I spent over an hour talking with a young man who&#8217;s like a son to me.  Tabias is a cook and I&#8217;ve been mentoring him on how to get a better job.  With a little coaching, I think he can do really well.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/Missions\/Azalea-Place\/Azalea-5411\/i-NcfmzmM\/0\/S\/img_4181-S.jpg\" alt=\"t\" \/><br \/>\nAlmost lost my mind working with Rahat trying to teach him some spelling words.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/Missions\/Azalea-Place\/Azalea-5411\/i-WgL8bDj\/0\/S\/img_4185-S.jpg\" alt=\"r\" \/><br \/>\nWho would know how hard it would be to learn &#8220;nectar&#8221; and &#8220;phase?&#8221;  He did pretty well on most of the words.<\/p>\n<p>You have no idea how lucky you are to be a native English speaker.  Learning to spell English is a nightmare for foreigners.  Rules of spelling?  Yeah, right!<\/p>\n<p>Watched my recordings of the Mentalist and Castle with Kathy this evening.  Last weekend in NYC I spent time with probably the most successful mentalist in the USA.  Super nice guy.  My friends from England are great friends of his.  Cool group to hang around with.  They&#8217;re always showing me some trick that blows my mind!<\/p>\n<p>I saw this sticker when I was at lunch.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/Missions\/Azalea-Place\/Azalea-5411\/i-mhSMKJz\/0\/S\/img_4177-S.jpg\" alt=\"s\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I didn&#8217;t obey the sign.
