We have one of the hardest working teams in town this week from Virginia Tech!<\/p>\n

They’ve done an amazing job of helping build a parking lot for our partners working at Pearl Lane apartments.

\n\"s\"
\n\"g\"
\n\"j\"<\/p>\n

I’ve really been proud of their stellar work. <\/p>\n

They also helping paint the mission at Azalea! Sure is nice to have a clean place to work!

\n\"s\"<\/p>\n

The old man actually stepped in to give them some pointers.
\n\"t\"<\/p>\n

Met up with Ian and Ruthie North today and their friend Emily. Even better because I had Ashley with me all day!<\/p>\n

We had a great meeting at Madina. Enjoyed some excellent Somali food.<\/p>\n

Had fun at the book store.<\/p>\n

Then I took Ian and Ashley over to Gallery 63–home for the Discovery Channel’s reality show “Auction Kings.” I think that show’s a lot of fun.<\/p>\n

I’ve been there before to meet the stars of the show. It was fun to get to see Cindy and Paul again. They’re always super nice to me.
\n\"t\"
\nThey were filming today. Most of you probably know that my background is in the news business for CBS. I knew exactly what was in the shot and just “happened” to look at stuff in the background.
\n\"p\"<\/p>\n

Later the Production Assistant had Ian and Ashley and I sign release forms in case they use the video with us in it. It was a fun part of the day!

\nI liked the pictures they shot of us.
\n\"i\"
\nWe dropped Ian off at his apartment complex and Ashley and I went to Azalea to meet up with Kathy and Jesse who were meeting us there.<\/p>\n

Kids didn’t have much homework, but we enjoyed listening to them read their practice books.
\n\"b\"
\nKathy’s van had a flat this morning. I have a portable pump for just such a problem. I pumped it up and K took it over to Tires Plus to get it repaired. Cost me over a $100. Had to get a new tire. Stupid nails. She actually had nails in three tires. There are just SO many construction trucks where we work. I throw nails out of the road at Azalea every day.<\/p>\n

C’est la vie, baby.<\/p>\n
