{"id":45,"date":"2007-03-18T21:19:47","date_gmt":"2007-03-19T04:19:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.org\/blog\/?p=45"},"modified":"2007-03-18T21:20:43","modified_gmt":"2007-03-19T04:20:43","slug":"45","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/whirlwindmissions.org\/blog\/?p=45","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Spoke to the Over 30 class at FBC Forest Park this morning.\u00a0 They seemed pretty receptive to what I was saying, mainly-GET INVOLVED!<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll see what happens.<\/p>\n<p>Spent a couple of hours in Forest Park this afternoon doing a recon on the apartments in the area, taking pictures, talking to maintenance guys and residents and the cops.\u00a0 I&#8217;ll post the results of that this evening.<\/p>\n<p>Spoke at Glover Baptist Church this evening.\u00a0 I was shocked to hear that Pastor Steve Varner had resigned from there.\u00a0 He&#8217;s apparently starting a new Spanish congregation in the area.\u00a0 I wish him all the best.\u00a0 He&#8217;s one of my favorites.\u00a0 I think that Greg and Bill will do a fine job for GBC as well.<\/p>\n<p>I spoke with the rest of the Niger team and showed some of the video that I shot.<\/p>\n<p>Been working on admin stuff since I&#8217;ve been home.\u00a0 Never ends.\u00a0 C&#8217;est la vie, baby.<\/p>\n<p>Peace<br \/>\n<strong>Saturday, March 17, 2007<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Had a great meeting with my partners at Kensington Station this afternoon.  I think the ministry is really starting to pick up over there.  The Carters in particular are doing a great job.<\/p>\n<p>Spoke at the missions banquet at FBC Forest Park this evening.  That went well. I enjoyed also hearing Tom and Ann Watson speak.  They are also MSC volunteers doing evangelism in Forest Park.<\/p>\n<p>I hope to get some work started in the apartment complexes in that area soon.
