Carolina!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Had a fun day today!<\/p>\n<p>Started out going to Lowes to pick up a tarp.\u00a0<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/photos\/399668201_BKR99-M.jpg\" alt=\"l\" \/><br \/>\n I&#8217;m moving my plants inside tomorrow and need to have something on the carpet so nothing gets messed up.\u00a0 I have a lot of plants.\u00a0 It&#8217;s cool when they come inside cuz it&#8217;s kind of like a jungle!<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, the inside jungle also includes rodents trying to escape the cold.\u00a0 I usually have to put out some glue traps to make sure no rats or mice decide to call my house &#8220;home.&#8221;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/photos\/399668381_CQgWs-M.jpg\" alt=\"m\" \/><br \/>\nI had lunch with Jerry Counselman today.\u00a0 He&#8217;s one of my favorite missionary partners.\u00a0 I&#8217;m praying that he&#8217;ll get more involved with our refugee population in Clarkston.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/photos\/399668448_Be35i-M.jpg\" alt=\"j\" \/><br \/>\nSpent some time at my office at FBC Doraville.\u00a0 Worked on email and calls for a couple of hours.<\/p>\n<p>The group of ethnic Pastors from N. Carolina came to my office at about 4pm.\u00a0 I had a briefing with them where I &#8220;took them to Cambodia.&#8221; Maybe you&#8217;ve heard me give that presentation?<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/photos\/399668507_vw4bt-M.jpg\" alt=\"p\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/photos\/399669634_H2tBZ-M.jpg\" alt=\"p2\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/photos\/399669860_G5S6g-M.jpg\" alt=\"p3\" \/><br \/>\nI took them over to check out the folks at the mission at Azalea.\u00a0 It was really cool to see how well they interacted with my people. I know they&#8217;re doing a great job back home!<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/photos\/399670666_g6HrD-M.jpg\" alt=\"p6\" \/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/photos\/399670217_tE8pW-M.jpg\" alt=\"p4\" \/><br \/>\nWe made a stop at Carniceria Hispana #1, where I showed them a typical Mexican tienda&#8211;store.\u00a0 It&#8217;s fun to see them gawk at the weird stuff.<\/p>\n<p>Then we made our way over to Clarkston and Willow Branch apartments to have a chat with my partner Bennett Ekandem.  He did a great job sharing his story with the pastors.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/photos\/399671237_5GYNV-M.jpg\" alt=\"b\" \/><br \/>\nFor a special treat we went out to eat to finish the day at Cafe Istanbul.  One of my favorites!<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/photos\/399671336_FSQJx-M.jpg\" alt=\"c\" \/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/photos\/399671645_RzAmy-M.jpg\" alt=\"cc\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/photos\/399671761_25djf-M.jpg\" alt=\"c3\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now I&#8217;m home working on email again.  I&#8217;m enjoying watching the &#8220;World&#8217;s Most Difficult Race&#8221; about the Iditarod 1,000 miles of frozen Alaskan wasteland.<\/p>\n<p>Thursday, Kathy and I are headed out of town for some rest.  We&#8217;ll be back on Sunday.
