Kathy and I just got back into town.\u00a0

\nWe spent the last several days up in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area.\u00a0 It was kind of crummy weather.\u00a0 That was a bummer.
\n\"c\"
\nWhat was much worse is that I had to make a hard decision about a partner and the way her ministry was going.\u00a0 It’s a very personal thing.\u00a0 Hard for people to see situations objectively.\u00a0 So I lost a lot of sleep while I was on “vacation.”
\n\"t\"
\nC’est la vie, baby!
\n\"f\"
\nThis is the first time I’ve had my iPhone since I’ve been on a trip.\u00a0 That means work doesn’t really leave me.\u00a0 But I’ve come to the realization that I LOVE my work and I prefer to always stay caught up.\u00a0 I can only truly relax when I know I don’t have a bunch of stuff hanging over my head.<\/p>\n

I’ve been reading Seth Godin’s book TRIBES this weekend, which I’ve really enjoyed.\u00a0
\n\"k\"
\n I’m from Kenya, so I totally grok the whole idea of tribes. While we were in Chatta, we visited the aquarium.\u00a0 My favorite part was meeting up with some Kenyans.\u00a0 I had a fun time speaking Swahili to them.\u00a0 It really freaks people out not only when you speak their language, but even more when you speak their tribal<\/em> language! (Which was Kikuyu!)<\/p>\n

The aquarium was awesome!\u00a0 Besides the Kenyans, I saw penguins, butterflies, seahorses and otters.\u00a0 And sharks!
\n\"j\"
\n\"b\"\"e\"\"s\"\"p\"<\/p>\n

Kathy isn’t really a bookstore person.\u00a0 So on the rainy day I headed over to the mall and hung out for a couple of hours at Barnes and Noble.\u00a0 Enjoyed reading, listening in on conversations, thinking about how things were marketed and looking at people.
\n\"w\"\"t\"\"f\"
\n\"h\"
\nLater that day, I went for a long walk at Reflection Riding, my favorite sanctuary in the area.\u00a0
\n\"r\"\"rr\"\"r\"\"g\"<\/p>\n

My favorite part was seeing a pair of Pilleated Woodpeckers (think Woody Woodpecker) and calling and answering a Barred Owl.
\n\"p\"
\nHad some great food at a couple of new places include Suwadee Thai food and New Alfredos–run by a Pakistani guy from Chicago.
\n\"a\"\"c\"\"t\"
\nFun weekend.\u00a0 Looking forward to repairing relationships with my partner.\u00a0 Pray for that!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
