Ian on the road!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rainy day today.\u00a0 Got some water soaking into my basement.\u00a0 Gotta figure that out.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/photos\/500143406_FL5vj-M.jpg\" alt=\"y\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/photos\/500143474_VjaRw-M.jpg\" alt=\"yy\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/photos\/500143610_VLXGF-M.jpg\" alt=\"r\" \/><br \/>\nI turned 50 years old this year!\u00a0 In honor of that I&#8217;ve been working a series of my favorite stories on short videos.\u00a0 This afternoon I recorded 17 new ones!\u00a0 Now I have to edit, add graphics, compress and upload them!\u00a0 It&#8217;s a labor of love.\u00a0 Over time I&#8217;ll include them in this blog for your viewing pleasure!<\/p>\n<p>Took my birds outside to enjoy the air.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/photos\/500143639_hm7Rn-M.jpg\" alt=\"d\" \/><br \/>\nNormally, they fly around my room.  I put them in the cage when I take them to visit their relatives!<\/p>\n<p>Spent an hour at the Barnes and Nobles bookstore.\u00a0 I always head for the Marketing and the Leadership sections.\u00a0 Today I bought a little book called Strengths Finder 2.0 by Tom Rath.\u00a0 Looking forward to reading through that.<\/p>\n<p>Went to the library to find more information on becoming a Firefighter for Miguel.\u00a0 Called him and told him what I&#8217;d found out.\u00a0 Also talked to Jason Sullivan, who had applied for that job.\u00a0 It&#8217;s SUPER hard to get in.\u00a0 Jason made it sound like Miguel really needed to get some EMT training before he applied.<\/p>\n<p>Caught up with Ian this afternoon.\u00a0 I helped him get a van from Enterprise to move the rest of his stuff down from Chicago.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/photos\/500143675_Dd6si-M.jpg\" alt=\"e\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/photos\/500143774_xbbSN-M.jpg\" alt=\"v\" \/><br \/>\nThe van was brand new, only 200 miles on it!  Cleanest I&#8217;ve ever seen!<br \/>\nHe&#8217;ll be picking up his brother from the airport as well.\u00a0 My prayer is that his brother Erik will stay and help us do missions here, too!\u00a0 Ian came over to our house so I could get him an air mattress and a music player that he could use with his ipod, since the van only has a radio.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/photos\/500143752_a6FxZ-M.jpg\" alt=\"i\" \/><br \/>\nKathy, Jesse and I took him out to eat at El Torreros before he left for Chicago.\u00a0 Pray that he has a safe trip!<\/p>\n<p>I was supposed to have two Outreach Events tomorrow.\u00a0 They&#8217;ve been postponed because of weather.\u00a0 Made sense to me.\u00a0 It&#8217;s nearly impossible to get people to come outside when it&#8217;s raining.\u00a0 Even crazy kids aren&#8217;t that dumb!<\/p>\n<p>Looking forward to editing the video from Story Tim!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rainy day today.\u00a0 Got some water soaking into my basement.\u00a0 Gotta figure that out.
