Ashley and I just returned from the UK!

I was part of a friend of mine’s wedding! We got up at sunrise.
\n\"s\"
\nMy friend Amit’s dad is from Kericho, near where I’m from in Kenya. I thought that was amazing.
\n\"s\"
\n\"s\"
\nI liked the releasing of the doves.
\n\"s\"
\nMy friend Anthony was the best man. We were up all night writing his speech. Turned out great.
\n\"s\"
\n\"s\"
\nBeautiful location out in the country.
\n\"s\"<\/p>\n

Great to see my buddies again.
\n\"s\"
\nThe girls had a good time at the wedding. They were the hit of the party.
\n\"s\"<\/p>\n

It was fun staying with the Jacquin family! They’ve become close friends.
\n\"s\"<\/p>\n

Ashley got to live her dream and ride horses every day.
\n\"s\"
\nMy friend Anthony’s wife Kat loves horses as much as Ash!
\n\"s\"
\n\"s\"
\n\"s\"<\/p>\n

I’m always stunned by the beauty of England and how much it reminds me of the Rift Valley of Kenya.
\n\"s\"
\n\"s\"
\n\"s\"<\/p>\n

Full moon while I was there. Woot!
\n\"s\"
\n\"s\"
\n\"s\"
\nEver seen Romanesque Broccoli?
\n\"s\"
\nTasted great!<\/p>\n

Fabulous rainbows while we were there. It would rain heavily, then clear off.
\n\"s\"<\/p>\n

I was invited to be on a radio show on the BBC!
\n\"s\"
\n\"s\"
\n\"s\"<\/p>\n

I talked about how I saw Derby’s culture from an American point of view. Did you know that the world’s first factory was in Derby, England?
\n\"s\"
\n I’m standing on the spot where Ben Franklin examined the silk mill.
\n\"s\"<\/p>\n

We worked on Anthony’s upcoming trip to India.
\n\"s\"<\/p>\n

We stayed at Sutton on the Hill. It was chill.
\n\"s\"
\n\"s\"
\n\"s\"<\/p>\n

Went to an underground venue with spoken word performances. It was held in the building where the first time piece was made that wasn’t affected by the rise of fall of a ship on the ocean. This discovery revolutionized ocean travel because then they could ascertain the latitude of the craft.
\n\"s\"<\/p>\n

They had a fire breather, too.
\n\"s\"<\/p>\n

It was cool. My buddy Anthony did some mindreading for the crowd.
\n\"s\"<\/p>\n

We toured the city. Beautiful cathedral.
\n\"s\"
\n\"s\"
\n\"s\"
\nThey had a folk festival that weekend.
\n\"z\"
\n\"s\"
\n\"s\"<\/p>\n

We visited an abbey nearly 1,000 years old.
\n\"s\"<\/p>\n

The Jacquin’s took us to the Chatsworth estate.
\n\"s\"
\n\"s\"
\n It reminded me of Downton Abbey. I enjoyed discovering the gardens.
\n\"s\"
\n\"s\"
\n\"s\"
\n\"s\"
\n\"s\"
\n\"s\"<\/p>\n

\n\"s\"<\/p>\n

This was the first time I did not go to London. I sure made the right choice staying in Derby. Staying with a family is just more fun.
\n\"s\"<\/p>\n

We got back home sound and safe.
\n\"s\"<\/p>\n

I met some guys in the airport in Amsterdam who recognized me from FaceBook. He wants to work with us in the International Village.
\n\"s\"<\/p>\n

And on the Marta back to Chamblee I also saw a supporter of ours from Roswell United Methodist Church. The chance of that happening is amazing to me. It’s a Jesus Thing.<\/p>\n

Already settled back in. Fortunately, Ash and I can keep up with our email even in the UK. So we never really get behind. Had a good talk from a church in Texas we’ve worked with. Summer is already looking up.<\/p>\n

Ashley is a wonderful travel partner! Never too much Ashley!
