{"id":704,"date":"2009-06-15T23:20:21","date_gmt":"2009-06-16T03:20:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.org\/blog\/?p=704"},"modified":"2009-06-15T23:42:26","modified_gmt":"2009-06-16T03:42:26","slug":"fbc-salado-hard-at-work","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/whirlwindmissions.org\/blog\/?p=704","title":{"rendered":"FBC Salado&#8211;hard at work!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I had a briefing from my team from Petal-Harvey Baptist Church this morning.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/photos\/565076274_eCSxW-M.jpg\" alt=\"j\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/photos\/565075690_5wLa5-M.jpg\" alt=\"p\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I was glad that my partners Keith and Cornelia Harrell were at the meeting with me along with my faithful wingman Jesse!\u00a0<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/photos\/565076430_cBg9X-M.jpg\" alt=\"k\" \/><br \/>\n Keith made sure that they got to their 4 locations in good shape.\u00a0 My initial reports from the team was everything went great!<\/p>\n<p>Jesse and I spent our afternoon with my team from Salado, TX.\u00a0 They&#8217;d worked on various service projects including painting our missions at Azalea Place and Huntington Terraces, as well as picking up trash in one of the nastiest spots in the city.\u00a0 They collected over 90 industrial sized trashbags full of trash, most of it beer bottles.\u00a0 I was amazed that they got it all cleaned up!<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll send a small group to clean up along side the road and the larger part to start painting the medians and concrete borders around our complex at Azalea.\u00a0 LOT of work on that.\u00a0 I&#8217;m looking forward to seeing it!\u00a0 It&#8217;s going to make the place look fantastic!<\/p>\n<p>We visited teams at Hamptons at Lenox,<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/photos\/565077125_9f6jL-M.jpg\" alt=\"hl\" \/><br \/>\nHuntington Terraces<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/photos\/565079566_Y8ECR-M.jpg\" alt=\"ht\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/photos\/565077273_qQHBr-M.jpg\" alt=\"ht\" \/><\/p>\n<p>and Azalea Place today.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/photos\/565081718_YmJQ8-M.jpg\" alt=\"az\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I had a good meeting with some of my kids at the mission at Azalea.\u00a0 We had to work through some issues that I think have been resolved.<\/p>\n<p>Jesse and I also picked up more supplies for the painting project tomorrow.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/whirlwindmissions.smugmug.com\/photos\/565082000_RSgaX-M.jpg\" alt=\"j\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Hot day today!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I had a briefing from my team from Petal-Harvey Baptist Church this morning.
