Hello, my friends!
Our God is the God of timing!
Last week I went to check on our mission at Westwood. One of our new missionaries will serve there to help us reach that village for Christ! I wanted to introduce Keith and Cornelia Harrell to Carol, the manager.
"Howdy! Good to see you!" I said as I shook Celia's hand. "Is Carol here?"
"Carol’s not here any more. In fact, tomorrow the whole complex will be sold," Celia stated.
"Sold? Like a new owner?"
"Yes."
"Wow." Keith and Cornelia looked concerned. "Who bought the property?"
"Sabra management."
That sounds familiar, I thought. "We'll I hope everything goes well for you in your new location. I'm going to show the Harrells around the mission upstairs." We marched up to the second floor to look at the room where we have the after school program. "Let's pray for our mission here," I told the Harrells. "Lord, we ask a powerful blessing on this complex. Give us favor with the new owner. Help us to lead many of the families here to you. Bless the Harrells in their new ministry here. Amen." We opened our eyes and nodded in agreement.
"Let's go to see the other missions in the area." I got my phone out when we got to the car. I called my friend Theresa at Chamblee Heights. "Howdy, Theresa! How you doing?"
"Great to hear from you, Tim! Super busy. We're closing on a new property tomorrow."
"Would that be Westwood?" I inquired.
"Yes! How did you know?" "I've had work at that property for over five years. When they told me that Sabra had bought Westwood I thought that might be you!" "It sure is. That's great news, Tim. I'll make sure to tell the owners!" I sighed in relief. "Looks like we be working together even more closely! Give my love to Zvi and Gideon!"
We hung up and I turned to Keith. "Looks like we're good to go. The new owners are great partners of mine. I work with them in three other locations." Keith looked relieved and excited at the same time. God works things out EXACTLY.
As many of you know, our family has been living at the Lamb's house and at hotels for the last three months. This week we were told that the hotel was 100% booked and we would have to leave. I was astonished! We figured we'd move over to Kathy's sister's house. The day Jesse and I were packing up to leave we got a phone call from our friends at FBC Mountain Park. "Our mission house came open this morning. The missionaries there have moved back to Japan. You're welcome to stay there." What an answer to prayer. What great timing. THANKS to our great friends at the church! We stayed at their house when we first came back from Africa 12 years ago. And now we’re back! God's timing!! It's great to work for the King!
