At Whirlwind Missions, we believe it's important for our team to know how the support you send is being used. The following illustrates the needs of our ministry.

• School Supplies—includes basic supplies needed for the missions that have regular work. (See attached list of needed supplies) Cost $250.00/year/mission. We currently have regular work in nineteen complexes: $2,250.00.


• Sports/Recreation—includes basketball goals, balls, balloons, face painting supplies, video games. Cost: $300/mission/year. $2,700.00.


• On Site Missionaries/Assistant Personnel—helps pay stipend for the missionaries that are living at the missions 24/7. Helps pay indigenous workers. Cost: $300/missionary/mission/month. WMI has six missionaries living at three apartment complexes currently. $1,800.00 per month.


• Insurance for missions—WMI is the hub of the activities going on in the missions. Our partnering churches provide the labor, however WMI is seen as the parent entity. $10,000 for 38 locations.


• Office Expenses—includes computers, stamps, software, incidentals (pens, paper, etc.), phone lines to missions and in office. Cost $300/month. $3,600/year.


• Outreach Events—WMI has hosted over 500 events directly in the community since its inception in September '01. It costs approximately $125.00 per event. We average a minimum of three events per month @ $125.00 = $4,500.00


• Bibles/Jesus Films—The core goal for Whirlwind Mission is evangelism and church planting. Donating Bibles and Jesus Films is critical to meeting that goal. We need Bibles in English, Spanish, Bulgarian, Vietnamese, Somali, Russian, Farsi, and Bengali. We have the biggest need for Jesus Films in Spanish, Farsi and Bulgarian currently. $300/month or $3,600 per year.


• Staff Support—Tim Cummins is a faith missionary, endorsed by the North American Mission Board through the Missionary Service Corps program. He receives no Cooperative Program funds from NAMB. All of the support for these ministries and to support the Cummins family comes directly from individuals and churches who believe in the mandate given by Christ to "Take the Church, To the People!"

Whirlwind Missions, Inc. is the largest apartment ministry of its kind in the USA. Over fifty properties were reached this year alone. As of December '02, three hundred and seventy eight Buddhists, Hindus, Catholics and Muslims have come to Christ through these ministries!
