Feeling better this morning.

Stayed in bed for about 11 hours.

Met up with Jesse in Clarkston then rode out to the airport to meet up with my team from Georgetown, TX.

They are a great bunch! I’m really looking forward to showing them around.

After checking in at the hotel, we took them over to Penang for some Malaysian food. Excellent.

Came home to enjoy watching Almost Human with K. Really interesting show.

Never seen a big Diet Coke can before.

Didn’t sleep very well last night. Sore throat.

Talked with my doctor so I’m on antibiotics now.

Got gas for the car. Wanted to get ready to pick up the team from Texas tomorrow at the airport.

I wonder how many people turn their phones off when they get gas. Zero?

Feeling a little under the weather. I have kind of a sore throat.

The PlayStation 4 was released last night at midnight. I enjoyed listening to some of the game developers. Went to GameStop to see the new PS4 hardware. Pretty groovy.

Enjoyed lunch with Jesse.

Always interesting conversation. We are getting ready for the board meeting. We discussed his presentation. He’s done a lot at the mission!

Home to rest. Burned more DVDs for the promo project.

Enjoyed watching Elementary and White Collar with K this evening. Had a problem with the audio in my system coming from the DVR. Restarted everything and checked the wiring. Finally got it to fire back up again. Smile.

I enjoyed my coffee and baklava at Messinas with Jesse.

Feeling a little under the weather. I have kind of a sore throat.

Yesterday, I realized that the bottom of the trashcan where I keep birdseed had begun to rust. Cleaned it out and let it dry over night. This morning I sprayed it with white spray paint. I put it in another spot where it won’t have that problem.

Enjoyed lunch with Kathy and Ashley.

Ash and I worked on the papers for the Board meeting on Monday.

We also have a team in town from Texas. It’ll be a busy week. I think we pretty much have everything together. There’s still some financial numbers that she’s crunching.

We are planning on sending out more promotional dvds to prospective youth directors. So I’ve been burning more dvds.

Only takes about five minutes to burn one, but I’m always working on something so I have to stop to go over the computer to put another disk in. Definitely takes time.

Went to Azalea to work with the kids. Great group!

Had a fun day with Ashley! It’s her birthday! 25!! We put on her new license plate.


She came over to my house and we ate lunch with our friends the Zamoras from Venezuela.

They’ve been doing great missionary work at Huntington Ridge for over 5 years now. The complex is getting a new owner and they’re also having a tough time raising the funds they need. Hard decisions have to be made.

It was great seeing them.

I burned more DVDs for the promotion project we’re doing for the Summer teams.

Ashley and I talked a lot about the information we need to put down for our Board meeting on Monday evening.

Cleaned out the fish tank.

Helped the kids at the mission. Always fun.

Some of my Bengali girls may need to rethink the whole flip-flop thing in freezing temps.

Jesse had his own room of kids.

Enjoyed eating supper with J.

He’s not been sleeping well. Pray that he’ll get over his cold and rest.

Went for a 5.19 mile run this morning. It was pretty cold even with a jacket on.

Ate a sandwich then went to Party City and Walmart to pick up supplies for Ashley’s surprise birthday party.

I got a lot of fun stuff for another Fabulous Year.

Also got her an ice cream cake and two other chocolate cakes.

We need to celebrate something as auspicious as 25 years on the planet for multiple days.

Picked up my car today.

It had a bent cam shaft as well as two valves that were out of alignment. With over 225, 000 miles it comes with the territory. Nearly $1,000.

Filled up with gas. Glad the prices keep going down.

Helped the kids at the mission. Not too much homework today.

Kathy and I had a good time at Clarkston International Bible Church this morning. Jacob, our youth director, spoke. He did a good job. Pastor Phil led us in prayer for the Philippines. About half of our church is made up of Filipinos.

I liked this tree.

Enjoyed lunch with friends of ours from Mountain Park the Coxs and Mattiesons.

Kathy rode her bike back from Piccadilly in Tucker to Stone Mountain.

Filled up the Expedition. Actually it still had about 1/4 to go.

Came home and ran 4.98 miles.

Beautiful weather. And Fall trees!

I’m trying new routes. This one didn’t have sidewalks part of the way. Won’t do that again.

I enjoyed having lunch with Ashley and Miles today! We ate at Mo’s.

On the way over there I saw this really interesting cloud formation. As if it was being blown away from the center.

Jesse is not feeling well. Picked up his prescription and a couple of Subs to see him through.

Drove over to the mission at Azalea to give it to him.

Also did the family grocery shopping.

Watched Fat Kid Rules with K. Pretty good.
