This morning I worked on collection of the banking records from our files.
Printed labels for the newsletter.
While I worked on those records, I watched a LIVE stream on the National Geographic channel from Kruger Park in S. Africa. I couldn’t believe it was actually live! Living in the future, baby!
The results from my raking yesterday.
Had a fun Ashley Day! Woot!
We met up for lunch. While we were at Perimeter Mall, I checked out the Oculus powered headset that fits with the Galaxy Note 4.
Went by CD Tower to get some new Chinese paper to send with our mailout. I think they’re beautiful.
Then to Dunwoody Baptist Church to talk their Director of Missions about helping us out with a Christmas gift. We want to give the kids in the neighborhoods a great Christmas, as well as help the ministry.
We spent a lot of time in the parking lot returning phone calls. Really interesting conversations with friends in Gainesville and in Memphis, TN.
Also got to see my friend Shay at Peachtree Corners Baptist Church. She’s always a blessing.
Dropped by Office Depot to get some envelopes.
Went by the Post Office to get stamps for the newsletter.
Then to the mission to label the newsletters and help the kids with their homework.
I got the kids doughnuts. Everyone gets one, whether they help with labels or not. So they always look forward to “sticker day.”
Incredibly warm today. The temperature gauge in my car said 74. Wow.
Had a fun supper with Jesse this evening.
He was very excited about the prototype Oculus display. Never too much Jesse.
Home now. Kathy was super tired. She went to bed early.
Took me nearly an hour to figure out the label issue this evening. I printed out a three pages of my address labels on 30 sticker paper instead of 20 sticker paper. Bottom line is that most of the addresses were cut off by about 1/3. Bahd luck. So I had to print the three pages of address again and put them on envelopes.
But I had about 15 more blank envelopes than I needed. It was hard to figure out where the count was wrong and which pages were not put on. Ended up having to alphabetize the entire 100 envelopes. When it was all said and done, I found exactly ONE extra. It had a short address and fit on the label, so you couldn’t tell it.
Admin duties now.
Beautiful colors for the sunset.
