Last week, I was chewing a muffin and noticed something really hard in it. Turned out to be one of my crowns.

I went to the dentist this morning. He’s really good. Highly recommend him.

I was hoping he would be able to reglue the crown.

He said it wasn’t possible, because it was the metal that had broken off, not just the crown.

They tried to make an impression for my new crown, but my gums bled too much so he wasn’t able to. I’ll go back in a couple of weeks to get the impression for the replacement crown, and then a couple more weeks to get the new one installed.

Cost nearly $750. Pray for our finances. We have really been hit with big car and dental bills recently.

I renewed our incorporation with the State of Georgia.

Ordered more labels.

Worked with the kids at the mission.

Penelope was there. Great to see her!

Helped kids with homework. Taught them the analog clock. Kind of ridiculous, but I don’t say that to the kids.

Down into the 20s last night and tonight. Hard on the animals.

Bird bath frozen again.

I had an R&R day today! For most that means “Rest and Relax.” For me it always means “Run and Record!”

I haven’t run for a few weeks due to an injury.

I hurt the bottom of my foot. Those tendons get inflamed called Plantar Fasciitis. Apparently, it’s common with runners and people who stand up a lot. Double whammy for me.

I did an easy 2.63 mile route. It was in the 30s, but sunny and felt fine.

Always something beautiful to see.

This always makes me feel hopeful.

But scared for the plants that start to bud out because of the warm weather and then get clobbered by the freezes. The Pink Magnolia trees are especially prone to this.

Vacuumed the house when I got home.

Ate a sub and read an article in Wired magazine about Star Wars. I liked the weapons and helmets.

This is the gun that I use when I play Battlefont. It’s all based on Star Wars.

It’s called the E-11. Blaster rifle. Fun.

Checked on the mail at the church. Ashley had already picked it up. Not surprising.

I felt like I was on safari when I saw these vultures with a dead opossum.

I laid out some rat traps this morning.

I heard one rodent scurry last week. I did trap one mouse yesterday. Perhaps there will be no more. Last year I had zero. I think that was because of having Mowgli chase all the scurrying things out of the back yard!

Pastor Ben continued his series on “No talk, Just action!” with his third character, Mary.

K and I enjoyed watching Death in Paradise together.

Went to Walmart to do the grocery shopping.

Golden Globes with K and more Death in Paradise. They killed off the detective of the first two seasons in the first episode of the third season. We were upset by that! British TV can really kill off major players!

Friday, I had a fun lunch with Kathy, Ashley and Penelope.

Never too much girl time!

I always love coming to Clarkston because of the languages.

Saturday, we’ve watched Mooglie for Ash and Miles and P. They went to visit Grandad in Dublin.

K and I had a good lunch together. Then went to Avondale Station to go to Odd’s End. Cool little shop.

The tree house/raptor blind is just about gone. The structure is actually holding the two small trees up.


Watched Ex Machina with K. I liked it.

Nothing better than working with my girls!

I recently paid nearly a thousand dollars to repair the fuse box in our Expedition. Water had been draining into it from the windshield.

Today I took the truck to the glass place across from the church.

Went by the church to check on the mail.

Then waited till the windshield was resealed.

Helped the kids at the mission with their homework.

Told them about a game I’m going to start learning multiplication tables.

Enjoyed watching Death in Paradise with K this evening.

I went to the Atlanta Metro Baptist Association this morning. Picked up the first page of my newsletter.

Checked on mail at the Church.

Went to Ashley’s house to label the envelopes.

Ate with Jesse and the girls at Golden Corral.

Back to Ashley’s to put the letters in the envelopes and seal them.

GREAT to see Miles! It was Mooglie’s 5th birthday today.

Said goodbye to the kids and went to the Post Office to mail the letters.

Deposited money into the bank. Amen.

K and I enjoyed watching “Little Boy” this evening. Powerful stuff. Highly recommended.

We have a small leak in our shower. I’m replacing some of the silicon dap.
