Team? Book! 6.30.18

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:55 pm

Studied Spanish and Swahili this morning. Woke up around 7am.

Making progress in Swahili.

True.

We thought we had a team in town this weekend. We hadn’t heard from them so we figured there was a good chance of a no show. We’ll set something up later with them! I needed to set up for The Show for our team this Monday.

We went to the Buford Highway Farmers Market for lunch.

Kathy and I came back home after lunch. I had a lot of stuff on my mind to do. Just couldn’t enjoy the idea of Hippo Hop, espcially since Miles was there! Good for him not to always have to share his girls.
Rested. Practiced with the Muse headset. It’s been a lot of fun to see what the brain waves are doing while I’m concentrating.

I’ll work on the book for a while and play games for a while. Good to keep bouncing back and forth. Doesn’t get too tedious.
Today, I took the stereo files and exported them as a mono file which is what Audible wants.

I did all the chapters!
I started to upload them, and found out that I have to have the written version of the book on Amazon before I can upload the audio version. Depending on how long it takes for the upload of the sixty-nine files will determine when I release the audio book version.
I noticed three squirrels at my feeder today. Decided it was time to start transporting them out of the area. I trapped two and released them in a forest about five miles from my house on the other side of the Yellow River.

Cleaned the fish tank.

I spent time working on the paperback book today. I have an official ISBN number!

The Kindle version is different from the print version. It has to be formatted for a 6″ x 9″ size paper. I’m working on getting the pages numbered, and working on the Contents page with that number.

Watered my plants. I think I have one of the most beautiful gardens I’ve ever seen. The minerals and the porcelain really make a difference. The flower have been really exceptional lately. Orchids and the African Violets have been fantastic.

Admin duties now.
I’ll work on getting the page numbers with the Contents page tonight.
I’m thinking of working on the book all day tomorrow to get it done. Next two weeks will be packed with working with the teams.

Studied Spanish and Swahili this morning.

Research on the cover for the paper copy of my book, Story Tim.

“Test Drive.”

Link on Facebook.

I had a nail in my rear passenger side tire. Both the back tires were at the “wear line” on the tread. Went ahead and got those swapped out for some new ones. Saved the $20 that I would have put into reparing the old one.

Studied languages while I was there.

New tires! At least for the rear.

Some animal really dug up the soil under the bird feeder last night.

More Swahili.

The girls came over for the afternoon. Always a blessing. We had water play on the deck with a small sprinkler which they loved. Swinging and lots of toys.

Sweet girls. And funny!

K and I took the girls home around 7pm. Then we went to Piccadilly for supper. Picked up J’s car on the way home. Went to the QT to gas it up and get some glue from the auto parts place to stick the mirror to the windshield. Fell off while I was adjusting it.
Beautiful clouds.
Played some BF2 and worked on admin duties.
We have a team tomorrow morning. Still haven’t gotten a confirmation from them. Hate that.

Birds! Girls! Truck! 6.28.18

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:02 pm

Studied Spanish and Swahili this morning.

Did my admin duties from yesterday.
Refilled the hummingbird feeders.

Ashley came to T&G to have her new truck checked out.

She got a clean bill of health!
Studied language while I waited for Ashley.

I treated the girls for lunch. Then went to Goodwill and the Dollar Tree while we were waiting for the mechanics to scrutinize Ashley’s new car.

Rained pretty hard today. Looked like some areas were getting flooding conditions.
Playing Battlefront 2.

New Car! Girls! Podcast!

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:23 am

Wednesday I studied Spanish and Swahili.

Isn’t it obvious?

It’s been a rainy Summer. Another 1/2″ on Tuesday.

Got the newsletters in the mail.

Picked up the girls. Saw the wrecked Veloster. Sad. GLAD Miles was ok! The semi that smashed into his car could have killed him!

GREAT to be with the girls on an exciting CAR BUYING day!

Mike did a good job helping Ashley.

Everyone was happy with the result!

The girls made themselves at home.

This was a very positive experience.

WOOT!

Got gas in Kennesaw before heading back to Stone Mountain.

Traffic was brutal on the way home. Decided to set up The Show and wait for time home to be less. Mr. Google said it would take me 1:15 minutes to get home!

After the set up, only 40 minutes!

Enjoyed playing Battlefront 2.
Waited to Thursday morning to finish my admin duties.

Audio! Girls! Prep! 6.26.18

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:20 pm

Studied Spanish and Swahili this morning.

Finished listening to the fourteen chapters that I re-recorded. Also edited the text version.

You have to be precise with this stuff.

I harvested the Pink Oyster mushroom. What beauty!

I went to get stamps at the post office and saw this.

I watched her paint some of this. Never thought it would say that.
Ball stamps.

You don’t see this every day. Big truck towing the front end of another truck.

Always great to see Ashley and the girls!

Got groceries and went to the Dollar Tree to get equipment for the Block Party this Saturday.

I’m using a Bible story out of this and coloring.

Essentials.

Went to the church and separated the goods into two bags.

Went by the Atlanta Metro Baptist Association office to pick up our newsletters.

Came home to put the labels on the newsletters and stuff the envelopes.

Admin duties now.

Audio Book! Newsletter! Shopping! 6.25.18

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:20 pm

Studied Spanish and Swahili this morning.

The Pink Mushroom has doubled in size every day. Wow!

Went to FBC Mountain Park to work on the audio version of the book. I recorded fourteen of the sixty-four chapters again. I tweaked the contents of the book to make it better.

I set up a little desk. I could hear faint airconditioner sound, but nothing bad.

Did the shopping at Walmart. I liked this mask.

Another partly rainy day.

I was hoping to bike today, but I don’t do it if it’s rained even a little bit. Too dangerous for me.
First day to use my new shopping bags. I’m trying to reduce my plastic footprint.

I have to be careful not to overload them. They can get too heavy.
I ordered new socks. One of my very favorite things.

Wrote and produced my newsletter.

Printed out the labels for the newsletter. Still need to get stamps. And the newsletter has to be printed. Just a 102 this month.
Sent the file to our friend Joel Harrison to print our newsletters.

Worked with the Muse brainwave band. I do the best when I’m playing video games. Super focused and dead calm.

Admin duties now.
Plan on listening to the chapters I recorded this morning.

Sp/Sw! Funeral! Pearl Oyster!

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:17 pm

I studied Spanish and Swahili this morning.

Making progress in Swahili.

This is how the Pearl Oyster Mushrooms looked this morning.

This is how fast the mushroom is growing since this morning.

I preached at the funeral for my friend Marie Wells. She was the manager at Azalea Place for over 15 years.

It was a beautiful place.

The family was all there.

I also spoke at the graveside service.

Missed the retirement celebration for my friend Carl Barrington. Hated that, but the funeral was more important that I was there.
Enjoyed playing Battlefront. It’s interesting to use the Muse as I play and see the amount of calm that happens during those video games.
Admin duties now.

Anthony! Jurassic!

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:32 pm

Studied Spanish and Swahili.

My Pearl Oyster mushrooms have started to grow. Here’s how they looked first thing in the morning.

This is how they looked seven hours later.

Had fun talking to my friend Anthony Jacquin in the UK. It’s his wife’s birthday today. One of my very favorite families.

Watered my plants.

Saw a car wreck on the way to the movie.

Dinosaur was taking tickets.

This movie was a lot of fun. Scary dinosaurs are pretty great bad guys.

Podcast! Girls! J&K!

Tim A. Cummins @ 11:39 pm

Studied Spanish and Swahili this morning.

Released a new edition of Verbal Surgery -568- “Fire Springs!”

Find your passion with this red-hot episode! Just click on the title and feel good, NOW!

Uploaded to server.

Link on Facebook.

My Pearl Oyster Mushroom kit continues to develop. So far, I’ve only watered it for two days. You’re supposed to mist it several times a day.

Recorded a new episode of Verbal Surgery. One of my favorite things!

The Sony PCM-M10 is a wonderful recorder.

Uploaded to my computer from the recorder. Five in the can. My goal is ten before July starts. Don’t know if I’ll have time or the throat power to do it while I have so many teams in town.

I’ve started bringing the most beautiful plant in my collection onto my desk. I’ve really enjoyed the orchids in particular. Art by God.

We loved having the girls come to visit.

Kathy was a great help today.

Everly is very good, especially if I can give her undivided attention. She really likes swinging.
I thought I saw her stand for a moment without hanging onto anything today!

They are so awesome. She is wonderful with her little sister.

Penelope’s art work. We work concentrating on circles today.

Kathy is coming with me tomorrow to see Fallen Kingdom. Jesse gave it two thumbs up.

This may be the most I’ve ever paid to see anyone in concert. I have enjoyed David Byrne’s work for over forty years. I was there for the “Stop Making Sense” album and tour. The reviews of his new tour are even stronger than for the Sense tour. I didn’t think that was possible.

Had a fun supper with Kathy and Jesse.

Admin duties now.

Presite!

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:11 pm

Studied Spanish and Swahili this morning.

Ashley, the girls and I took our new friends Greg and Matt from Alabama around the International Village. They’ll be bringing a team in July.

Matt got himself a new hat. Muy guapo.

He looked like the kind of guy that could really appreciate a finely made hat.

Then to the Buford Highway Farmers Market.

It’s always great to hang out with the girls!

Deposited checks.

I couldn’t believe this. Wow.

Admin duties now.
Had a great talk with my friend Carl Barrington today. We’ll be going to a soccer match in August.
