Whirlwind Missions

I don’t know if you’ve heard or not, but it’s getting HOT out there! My car temperature gauge hit 101 again today. Ay, caramba!

I tried to take it easy today and rest. Jesse and I went to the dentist. I have a couple of small cavities that we’ll get taken care of soon. No big hurry. No disasters. They told Ashley that she needs her wisdom teeth extracted. Sure am glad we’re living in this day and age where that kind of stuff isn’t very painful any more!

I worked out on weights this morning. Washed my car too. Man, was it ever hot!
Don’t see her looking this good too often!car

Been working on setting up a missions conference for partners of mine. Looks like that’ll be their first since coming on board here in Atlanta. The Palmers have really hit the ground running since they’ve arrived in Norcross. I’ve been really proud of what they’ve accomplished already!

I went by my house this afternoon. They were working on priming the wood. The fumes were terrible. The poor dude in there didn’t even have a face mask. Can’t be good for you!

I just got a call from my brother Tito. He told me that Marco Solano’s wife Chris was in a car wreck moments ago. She was very far along in her pregnancy and she lost the baby. What terrible news. Please pray for Marco and Chris.

Pray also for our Outreach Event at Huntington Ridge from 12-2pm. If you have a free couple of hours come on over and help us!

Love you guys!

From time to time our servers at Blue Host (which have been terrific) do routine maintenance. Wasn’t able to access our web site last night. For those of you who couldn’t wait to get at our thrilling blogs, and couldn’t, I apologize!

Jesse and Ashley and I went to check on our teams from the YMCA yesterday. They are really doing a terrific job!

At Hamptons at Lenox, where we have a mission, we saw a fire engine and a bunch of fireman. “Oh, Lord,” I thought, “What’s burned down now?” The firemen were doing a presentation to the kids on fire safety and are planning on bringing their model house to teach kids how to get out if their place is burning.

As someone who has been through a house fire and been hospitalized because of it, I know the importance of their job!

We also went out to Marietta to check on our team from FBC Marietta. Unfortunately we just missed them. Bahd luck.

Then over to Concept 21 Delk where we picked up a few more things from our mission there that is being renovated. We couldn’t find the school supplies that we so neatly packed up in plastic boxes for our partners at Youth Outreach United. My prayer is they had one of their team go and pick that stuff up. Sure hope so.

We had a meeting with Jesse’s psychiatrist, Dr. Evans yesterday. He seems to be really pleased with the progress that Jesse is making and feels confident that his trial, if there is a trial, will go in Jesse’s favor. Please keep praying for Jesse.

Ran 4 miles yesterday. It was in the mid 90s. My car temp gauge got to 101 yesterday. Summer is here, baby.

Worked on a new Story Tim–“Lost in Amboseli.” Hope you enjoy it!
