Video project

Tim A. Cummins @ 11:30 am

This morning I’ve been working on editing, burning and posting DVDs from the last three teams that came to help us.  I take the video from the master tape I shot on my camcorder, edit it and add titles, burn a DVD for the team and post it on YouTube.

I’ll post them later today!

Broadus Memorial Baptist Church, VA.

FBC Powell, TN

Faith Bible Church, VA

The carpenter has been here this morning installing a door.  Looks like installing the stove is going to be a lot harder than we anticipated.  We’ll probably have to redo some formica and maybe a cabinent.  So much for “just drop it in and plug it up, no problem” like the Lowe’s guy told me. C’est la vie, baby.

Also been scheduling a meeting with my partners in Clarkston for tomorrow.

Sonday

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:10 pm

I enjoyed the Bridge service this morning at FBC Mountain Park.  Pastor preached on good employee/employer relationships that can turn into evangelism opportunities.  I thought it was a good idea.

Ran 4 miles this afternoon.  Hot.

I’ve started getting interested in orchids.  I remember one of our missionaries in Kenya, James Hampton, used to grow them and put then in the crooks of his trees.  I always thought that was super cool.  I’m always happiest when I’m learning/doing something new.

Seems like we have most of the boxes unpacked.  Thank you, Lord!

Ring Nebula

Tim A. Cummins @ 5:54 pm

We’re still working on unpacking boxes.  Will it ever end?

Last night K and I went to Fernbank.  We looked through a 14″ telescope and had a great time staring at Jupiter and five of it’s moons.

Can you see the bands on Jupiter in the picture? There’s also one moon in the shot.  I shot this with my Canon Sure Shot by putting the lens up against the viewfinder.

With the big telescope we also saw a ring nebula.  Looked like a fuzzy white doughnut.  Still thought it was cool.

I’ve added a couple of orchids to my garden. Check this one out!

I got my tv and sound system hooked up.  I’m enjoying watching the first season of Lost.  Pretty weird show.  I like it because you don’t know what’s going to happen next!

I sure was glad to have Miles and Ashley helping me!
