Rob Martin, Toni Branyon & Azalea
Had a great day today!
Met a new partner, Rob Martin with Mobilizing Students. He helps students get involved with missions around the world. I’m proud that Whirlwind Missions and our work in Atlanta is part of that team! Toni Branyon helped us make the connection. She’s doing a great job with Communities in Transformation.
We met at my office at FBC Doraville then had lunch at a new restaurant near the church. It was pretty good, plus four of us ate for about $10! That’s not $10 a piece, that’s TOGETHER! They charge $1/scoop of food. Astonishing. Today was their grand opening.
After eating, I led Tony and Rob through a tour of the International Village. We then went to N. Peachtree BC where the teams will probably stay when they come.
We visited with Bayo Otiti and the mission at Huntington Terraces. Our team from last weekend bought Bayo a brand new Compaq computer. Awesome! Christians are SO generous!
Best part of the day was to go to the mission at Azalea and check on my kids. Haven’t seen them in about a week and a half.
Everyone was doing well and the mission actually looked in pretty good shape. Two surprises in one day!
Beautiful sunset this evening!
Fall trees in Georgia. Awesome!
Came home and shaved off my beard. It was driving me crazy. Felt like I had fiberglass in my face.
