Fun day today!

Started out recording two new podcasts!

I really enjoy being creative. Especially if it helps people. “Brain Train” is a new favorite! Take it for a ride! Chooo Choooo!

Had lunch with Kathy. Always good!

Worked with the kids doing labels.

Gave them some doughnuts as a thank you.

Also worked on homework!


Then went to the Decatur library to listen to a presentation by Austin Kleon. I really enjoyed his new book “Steal Like an Artist!” Good stuff.

It was fun to get to meet him!

Came home to work on admin duties and watch an episode of Big Bang Theory with K.

This seemed pushy to me.

Had a fun Ethiopian lunch with two of my favorite pastors Sean and Marc! Always good to see them and talk!

Then a good time with Cathy and Mark Wilson, two great missionaries! We’re looking forward to starting some new work with them.

Had a little time to spare before working with the kids at the mission and a noticed a local antique store I hadn’t visited before. Enjoyed walking around looking at interesting things. Kind of pricey though!




I was surprised they had ivory.

Also went by the Post Office to mail some DVDs I’ve been working on to Jesse.

Made some new keys for my office for K and Ashley. They had a cool machine that did them automatically. Groovy!


Good time at the mission. Never too much Ashley!

Went to Best Buy on my way home. My camera has been having focus problems. About 20% of the shots I had for the last team were fuzzy. MAN, that’s irritating. So I sent my camera off to be worked on. The camera I shoot with is a Canon HS 300. It was drastically marked down, so I decided to get a new one and have a spare. Once they start having problems, they rarely work well. My guess is that I shot at least 15,000 pictures with it, so I reckon I got my money’s worth.

Watched some old episodes of Lie to Me with K, followed up with some episodes of Big Bang Theory. I reckon that’s our favorite show now. Sheldon cracks us up.

Sadly, someone ran into my car today. Didn’t leave a note or anything. Kinda upset me. I’ll get over it.

Yard was looking good after the mow job!


Had a fun day with the leaders from the Bon Air Baptist Church team! I’ve had groups come from their church in Virginia in the past. GREAT to have them coming back again!

Valerie, Judy and Mac were great!

I enjoyed showing them around the International Village! After a briefing, I took them by the Buford Highway Farmers Market.

Also to CD Tower and Plaza Fiesta. Good times!

They left to go back to the airport around 4pm.

Went to Azalea to help the kids with their homework. AWESOME to have Ashley and Miles to help!

After the mission, I went to Walmart to pick up groceries. It’s a weigh of life.

Then home to work on admin duties.

K and I are enjoying watching first season episodes of Lie to Me on DVD. Sure was sad they didn’t get a third season!

Had a great day in Clarkston today!

Pastor Phil Kitchin preached a great sermon on being redeemed from failure. Of course Peter played a prime role in the message.

Ate at Piccadilly for lunch with Ashley and Kathy’s brother Paul and his family. Sadly, his wife Ramona’s father passed away this week.

Set out my hummingbird feeders today. Love those little rascals! Seems like I started seeing them in May last year.

Since I’ll be in Holland and England with Jesse end of this month, I’m getting my newsletter ready for Ashley to mail out early. Glad I have that job done. I wrote about working with my friend Abdul from Ethiopia.

Also edited another hour of the conference I went to in Nevada.

Rested this afternoon. Then went out and mowed about three quarters of the yard. One of the wheels fell off. I’ll have to get another one at Walmart or Lowes

Admin duties now. Then watch a movie with K!

We hiked most of the way of Stone Mountain today.

Much cooler day today than it’s been recently.

Then we went to the city of Stone Mountain to check out one of my favorite antique stores.

These things always creep me out.

Had a nice, restful afternoon.

Then over to watch movies!

We saw Safe House with Denzel, which I really liked. Not a chick movie, however.

Also stayed to watch Hunger Games. It was ok. Totally predictable.

Had a burger at Red Robin on the way home.

Home now to work on admin duties.

Full, aka “WooooHOOOO” moon tonight!

Ran 4 miles last night. Got my new Asics in from zappos.com yesterday. Groovy!

After my briefing with the team this morning, I took them to Plaza Fiesta.

It’s one of my favorite places, full with usual sights and smells!

The team liked the climbing station!

Today was the final day of working with the kids for the teams.

They also worked on remodeling some bathrooms at the church!

GREAT to see my kids!

Editing and uploading the video I shot of the teams. My camera had some focusing issues. That’s not zesty. About 80% of what I shot was fine. But that I shot stuff I couldn’t use is frustrating.

Admin duties and rest now.

Had about a 1/4″ of rain last night!

Took the team from Shirley Hills BC on a tour of Madina grocery store to experience some Muslim culture.

Then over to Global Mall to get the Hindu experience. Veddy interesting!

The teams did a wonderful job at the missions today!

Came home and ran 4 miles. Felt good in my new shoes!

Admin duties and watched the movie “Duma” with Kathy. It’s a story about a cheetah in S. Africa. Groovy!

Had a great day with my team from Shirley Hills BC!

Took them over to CD Tower where the Buddhists buy their idols.

Then to the Chinese Pharmacy and Carneceria #1 to check out more culture.


Fed the team Vietnamese sandwiches. Yum!

They did a great job at the missions!



Great to have Ashley help me!

Also spoke to the leadership team from the Missionary Brethren society. GREAT to have them in the ATL.

Also fun to hang out with Ian and Ruthie North! Never too much Ian!

Ate supper with K at Piccadilly. Seeing these balls reminded us of Jesse. He loved bouncing balls!

Then home to work on Admin duties.

Had fun working with my team from Shirley Hills Baptist Church, Warner Robins, GA!

Gave them my “Take the Church, To the People!” presentation and briefing.

Then over to the Buford Highway Farmers Market. Always fun!

They did a great job at six different missions around Chamblee and Doraville.

Came home to work on admin duties. Got some big forms to fill out for some partnering churches.
