This morning I finished my newsletter and sent it to my friend Joel Harrison with the Atlanta Metro Baptist Association. They printed the newsletter in color.
I think it looks amazing!
Went to help the kids at the mission.
Didn’t have any helpers today. I don’t get worried about it. We always get through it! I actually left the mission at 6:15pm! Normally we get out of there around 7pm and that’s with 2-3 extra helpers.
Beautiful evening. Mild.
I saw this car this afternoon. Looks like the future!

Got to eat lunch with my brother David Doverspike today. Always great to see him and his sweet wife Debi!
We met up with Al Gilbert from the North American Mission Board. Extremely likable guy. Really enjoyed talking with him.
Got stamps for the labeling project for our newsletters.
Went over to the Atlanta Baptist Association to drop off some paper for them to copy our newsletter on.
Kids helped me with the labels.
I got them doughnuts for helping. I didn’t buy the kind that has “everything” in it. Not sure that’s a good idea.
Then on to homework!
The ESL classes are going GREAT! Mothers seem to really enjoy the classes.

Sure had a lot of rain this weekend. Over 2 1/2″!
Fed the birds this morning. I smear the suet on the side of the tree.
Lots of seeds!
Did some reading. I’m especially enjoying Guy Kawasaki’s book “Enchantment.” I read a lot of marketing books.
Met up with Ash and Miles. Went to the mission to help the kids.

Delivered the financial report to our treasurer. THANKS again to Ashley for helping with that duty!
Home now to work on admin duties and relax.
I’ll be waking up at 3am to take Jesse over to Hartsfield for his flight to San Diego tomorrow morning. Early!
Kathy and I plan on going up to N. Georgia tomorrow for a few days. T/K weekends rock!

I showed them around the property at FBC Doraville.
We’re planning on hosting about 100 people there. We took a look at SS Class rooms and how many people could sleep there.
Enjoyed going to the book store with Jesse.
Then over to the mission to help the kids. Always wonderful to see Ashley and Miles!
We started English as Second Language classes this evening. Glad to be able to start that.

Edited the video of Jesse skydiving. It’s processing as I write this. It’s on frame 28,278 right now.
Had lunch with Jesse, Ashley and Miles. ALWAYS great to see them!
Creative writing and posting to my twitter feed. I post 5 one liners every day. Adds up over time. There are more than 6,000 on line.
Spent some time looking through my car for Kathy’s phone. Happily she found it in her van. We all need comms!
Kathy rode back to Clarkston today! She’s an amazing woman. I thought that 11 miles was pretty long yesterday.

Our family had fun today watching Jesse jump out of an airplane!
It was interesting learning how to skydive.
J wasn’t scared at all, that I could tell!
A lot of military personnel train at the Thomaston airport. I thought their stickers were cool.

We ate lunch in Barnesville on the way home.
I thought it was a beautiful little town with lots of interesting old buildings.

Jesse, Kathy and I went to a display of how the Bible has evolved. Pretty cool!

Here’s a copy of the original King James Bible from 1613.
I made some block prints from old Bible pictures.
Interesting images in the some of the Bible stories.
I hand wrote a section of the Bible to be given out later to persecuted churches.
Had a delicious lunch of Vietnamese Sandwiches.
Food meets art.

I liked the inlaid art.
We also went to Plaza Fiesta to get Jesse’s iPhone fixed. His case had cracked. They got another case and put it back good as new!
And enjoyed a quiet evening with Kathy watching “Love Actually.” Cute movie.
