This morning I endured some of the worst traffic I’ve EVER seen in Atlanta! 285 was a complete log jam. I was 30 minutes late to meet up with my team from Foothills Community Church.

They were very kind and patient! I appreciated that!

I took them on a tour of the Buford Highway Farmers Market. Always fun!

Then over to CD Tower to see the Buddhist idols.

Finally, we visited Plaza Fiesta and had a delicious lunch. Good time, good team!

Had a nice rest this afternoon.

Jesse and I took Sugar for a 2 mile walk around the neighborhood. Always good to get the legs moving.

After a short rest, we went to eat at Thai of Norcross. We had fun looking at the fire!

Then to see my good friend Carl Barrington perform as Tevya in Fiddler on the Roof. An AMAZING production! I always say that Carl is “the smartest person I know.” He’s a genius! His acting and singing was absolutely incredible tonight. A real A+ performance.

Kathy and Ashley are doing great in Tennessee! We sure do miss them. I was glad that Jesse came with me to the performance this evening. He really enjoyed it too!

FUN day!

This morning Kathy and Ashley headed to Tennessee to serve at a missions conference. I sure was glad that K went with her. That’s a long way to drive by yourself.

Jesse and I ate breakfast then went over to Fernbank to see the new exhibit featuring Genghis Khan.


We thought it was worth seeing. Did you know he had the largest land empire of anyone in history?

Even more than the Roman Empire or Alexander the Great.

I thought the artifacts were interesting.

Love the dinosaurs!

We also liked looking at the shell exhibit again.

And the pictures of stars.


Came home to rest and I finished editing the video of Adam Eason. I’m uploading it to YouTube now.

Went for a 4.97 mile around my neighborhood with Sugar this afternoon. It was kind of cool and my knees hurt a bit. Gave myself a haircut before I went.

Beautiful trees! And flowers!

Took a quick shower and then headed for Cloud Atlas with Jesse.

It was a long movie, nearly three hours! But it was really well done. We both enjoyed it.

Back home now to work on admin duties.

I have a team in town tomorrow morning in Chamblee. Looking forward to that!

Wrote checks for the bills that aren’t auto debit.

Also edited the video I shot while I was in the UK with Anthony Jacquin and Adam Eason.

Enjoyed some delicious Mexican food with Kathy, Ashley and Jesse! Woot!

Got back from a amazing time in the UK! I liked our new International Terminal! Jesse took me to the airport!


This seemed appropriate to me. It means goodbye in Swahili!

Normally, I stay in London when I travel. This times I landed in Birmingham which is much closer to my friend Anthony Jacquin an his family who live in Derby, England.

It was a beautiful part of rural England called the Midlands.

They live on a farm with horses, cows and sheep. Absolutely gorgeous!



It reminded me a lot of Kenya. I forget just how much British influence there is in East Africa.


The Jacquin family made me feel right at home!

The main reason I went was to attend the big engagement/wedding party for my good friend Amit Badiani.

It was good to see my Brit friends all in one place.

My last day in the UK we met up with Kev Sheldrake and drove up to London.

We met up with other friends of mine that I finally got to meet in person! It was a very exciting evening for me.

My new friend Adam Eason spoke about self hypnosis to a packed house. It was very interesting.


I picked up the train the next morning headed back to Birmingham after staying at the Generator hostel.

I made it safely on to Amsterdam where I picked up my flight back to Atlanta!

It was a gorgeous 4 hour sunset on my flight home! What an ending to a wonderful visit!

This morning I worked on a new podcast!

It was good to see supporters again!

I’m looking forward to going to England for a week! One of my best friends, Amit, is having his big engagement celebration on Saturday. I’ll be staying with another great friend Anthony. It’ll be fun!

I’ll be back to blogging on November 7th! Pray for my safe trip!

Jesse will be staying at our house to take care of Kathy for me!

Worked on a lot of errands today!

Went by my doctor to get some sleeping medicine for my trip to England this week. I really want to rest on that long flight. Makes a HUGE difference in whether your jet lag is bad or not.

Biggest job was going by the bank. I mentioned that my office got broken into last weekend. The crook stole some deposit slips. Although the chance of that guy doing anything with that information was remote, why chance it?

So I had to set up a new account for Whirlwind Missions. Then had to transfer the majority of the money into the new account. When all the checks that we’ve written have cleared, we can transfer ALL the rest of the money and close out that old account number. What a hassle!

Picked up a few little toys for my friend’s daughter that I’m going to visit at Party City. I think she’ll like the stuff I got!

Also went by ATT to get some international time so I can use my phone in the UK. Having communications makes a HUGE difference!

Went to the mission to help the kids with their homework!

Then over to First Baptist Atlanta to set up the missions display and eat at the banquet!

Always great to have Ashley with me!

COLD night in the ATL tonight! Supposed to get into the 30s. YOW!

Finish up my admin duties now.

Jesse and I had a fun lunch with my two brothers Tito and Lester!

It was great to catch up with what’s going on in their lives and how AWESOME their children are!

Reminds me again of how PROUD I am of my sweet children too!

Had fun working with the kids at the mission. Ashley wasn’t there today, she’s not feeling well. Best thing to do for that is rest!

Watched 1,000 Words, Eddie Murphy’s latest movie. Just ok.

Also finished up packing for my trip to England on Thursday. Can’t wait to see my friends there!

We had fun visiting with the church members.

Went to Thai for lunch. Beautiful presentation!

Our Pastor at FBC Doraville called to let me know that our offices had been broken into last night. They stole my Kenyan knife and some deposit slips for Whirlwind Missions. I doubt they want to put money in!

My most precious curios they had no idea the value of and left them there. Whew! They’re at home now for me to enjoy.

Came home to rest and finish admin duties.

Stopped by my office at FBC Doraville on the way home to pick up some extra supplies for the meeting tomorrow morning.


Went to Crazy Ron’s BBQ in Stone Mountain for lunch. I love that place.


Had a nice rest this afternoon.

Then ran 6.2 miles and biked 6.37 miles. Good exercise! Got a little cold on the way home on the bike. I bike half way, then run.

Sun was beautiful on the lake!

Had some time with Jesse this evening. Always good! He’s going to a party for his birthday!

Kathy is with her brothers and sister in Ellijay, GA this evening. I had to work so couldn’t go.

I’ve had problems with the batteries for my chopper. I’ve been in a conversation with the people at Parrot.com. They let me know how to return my batteries and charger today. I got them in the mail to them!

Ate lunch with Kathy. Always fun!

Then went to Walmart to take care of grocery shopping.

Worked on cleaning the fish tanks. How many little fish can you see?

Enjoyed a restful afternoon.

Picked up Kathy at Stone Mountain on her bike in her van. She went a long way!

Enjoyed watching a movie in Italian tonight. “That Beautiful Thing!” Interesting.
