Came home to work on folding the newsletters for our AWESOME supporters!

We also put in Ashley and Miles’ new prayer card which looks GORGEOUS!

Cleaned fish tanks.

My back is a bit sore from mowing. Good exercise.

Admin duties now.

Lots of driving. It was a busy month.

Lots of work days in a row. Also went over 200,000 miles this month.

Took out the garbage!

Mowed the yard!

Spent time this morning editing the video I shot at Katie and Tommy’s wedding. Still needs to add nice graphics at the beginning and end. I’m uploading what I have so they can see it.

Enjoyed lunch with Kathy and Jesse, then went to see Batman!

Is was a good movie. Little long. I liked the first one the best, then this one. Didn’t like the ending of the last one.

I liked this stuff from Zaxbys where we ate.

My favorite building: The Chrysler building in New York. It was in a design on one of the booth cushions.

I liked these old Batman pictures. These were from 1938-9.

I thought this target looked cool.

Came home to play with my chopper. Took a dive and bent one of the rotor pins. Pretty much the whole helicopter can be rebuilt. Glad I have J to help me.

Looking forward to a restful evening.

This morning I worked on editing video from the teams this week.

Later, Kathy and I hosted a team from Perimeter Church. We handed out over 40 back packs filled with school supplies! What a blessing!

Kathy and I also went looking for some sunglasses. She needs to get some new prescription ones.

Looking forward to a rest day tomorrow.

I had a fun day with Tommy and Katie today! It’s their wedding day!

I enjoyed doing the ceremony.

Fun to see the traditions: Father & Daughter dance, cake, toasts.

Had a great final day with the teams last night! What a blessing this summer has been, especially because of Ashley!

Took the Family church to Plaza Fiesta!

Picked up supplies to make “Yeah, Baby!” T shirts.

Ashley and I enjoyed our time with Debra Potter from Perimeter Church. She is the Community Outreach leader. She’s awesome, baby!

We loved the team from Westside Baptist Church.

Today, Kathy and I went to Winder for the rehearsal of the wedding tomorrow. It was great to see the family!

This evening we went to the Rehearsal Dinner party for Katie Mitchell and Tommy Stiffler. Delicious food and great company.

Powerful Cumulus clouds!

Sad morning as I went to T&G to get the last of my stuff from the Lumina. She’s been a faithful servant.

This morning Ashley and I did our briefings on Islam and Hinduism.


Then we took them to Madina.

And over to hear Tek do part of a pooja, or prayer, for Shiva.

Ash and I enjoyed delicious Indian food at Ashiana. Then checked out an Indian grocery store. Very interesting. We noticed this guy’s office by the store.

Enjoyed visiting with the Family Church at the missions.

We had the kids at Azalea help us do the labels for our newsletters.

Took a quick dip in the pool before greeting my friends from Westside Baptist Church. We had planned on working at Shallowford Gardens, but at the last minute I changed the location and moved us to Cumberland Court. Turned out to be a good plan as 19 people came to the Lord!

Tomorrow ends the final day of the regular weekly Summer Teams! I thought you’d be dying to know how my “chevrons” were looking.

You don’t get a tan like that sitting in an office.

Enjoyed watching White Collar with K this evening.

Admin duties now. Glad we start at 10:30am tomorrow. Gives me a bit more time to rest.
Just in case you were wondering . . .

Had a fun time briefing the team from Family Church this morning! Ashley and I always enjoy doing that.

Took them on a safari to CD Tower, the Chinese pharmacy and Carneceria #1!

Then over to the missions. They’re doing a great job!

Had an interesting time at the Buddhist temple in Brookhaven. I thought it might be a good spot to take the teams to next Summer.

We looked at some other grocery stores in the area as well.

Had a good time flying my quadcopter with Ashley for a bit before the evening team started.

It’s cool to be working with my friend Pastor Ben Lehman in the evenings! We led 13 people to Christ tonight. AMEN!

Admin duties now and getting ready for a conference in Oklahoma.

I got this Mini Cooper at CD Tower. I liked how Ashley put our family picture in it.

I liked the sound of this. Sounds like something you might call your grandfather.

I don’t think I want to use any soap that makes me smell like DUDU.

Maybe if I went here I’d grow magic hair.

I’m always trying to come up with this.

There’s something about big numbers. Today my Chrysler Concorde went over 200,000 miles!

A special shout out to my friends Carl and Pat Barrington who gave that car to our family six years ago. What a blessing they have been to our family!

Ironically, another car they gave us, more than TEN years ago, finally died a peaceful death taking Ashley and Miles to an encampment in Tennessee to tell over 100 young people about Jesus. The Lumina was a trusted a valued vehicle to our family. She will be missed!

HOT day today!

Ashley and I did our briefings for our team from Alabama today!

Family Bible Church came back to work with us again this year. They’re doing a GREAT job!

We took them to the Buford Highway Farmers Market. Always fun.

Then over to the missions!

Then this evening we had our HOPE team from Westside Baptist Church in Snellville, GA come back to work with us in Chamblee. Pastor Ben Lehman is one of my favorites!

They did a great job and at least one of my Muslim kids accepted Christ as their personal savior! AMEN! I’ve been praying for her for years.

Got home about 10:30pm this evening. LONG day!

Great to have the family there!

Kathy and I had a fun time at Clarkston International Bible Church this morning.



Pastor Phil preached from 1 Cor 13 . . . .the love chapter. He did a great job!

This Saturday, I’ll be performing a wedding with Katie Mitchell and Tommy Stiffler and I’ll be preaching from that chapter too!

K and I went to lunch at the Kathmandu restaurant in Clarkston. We ate there about two years ago and didn’t like it. But today it was awesome! I talked to them about the changes. Apparently, there was a new owner and that made all the difference.

Working on getting the dvds that I edited and burned to disk to the teams from last week. I like to get that job done asap. That’s the final piece of work before I consider that team assignment complete.

I’ve enjoyed flying my chopper around the yard.

Had a fun time briefing my team on Islam and Buddhism today.

Then toured Al Madina. It’s Ramadan now, so my Muslim friends are even more serious.

Visited the Shiv Mandir at Global Mall. There was a couple participating in a special Pooja, or prayer ceremony while we were there.

After lunch we went to the missions for the team’s final day. Sad to see them go. They’ve been an outstanding group!

Came home for an hour to rest, then went to Oak Forest apartments in Scottdale to work with my HOPE team from Westside Baptist Church. I love Pastor Ben Lehman. He’s such an intense guy! Reminds me of someone I know. ; )

Poured down rain and powerful lightning when we first got there. But after about 20 minutes it stopped raining and we were able to share with the families that had gathered there.

I felt like this sunset was a special gift from the Lord after the rain!

Home now working on admin duties. I edited the video I shot for the Colquitt team before I went to the mission at Oak Forest.

Looking forward to rest and church tomorrow.

I heard from Ashley. She and Miles had a great time with the kids at the camp and they were settled in for a rest at the hotel. Good to hear that! No matter how old she gets, she’s still my little girl. Love you, Ashley!
