This morning I ran 4 miles. Plenty!

Ate lunch with Jesse at Zaxby’s. Good stuff! Love hanging out with my kids.

Went to the mission to work with the kids.

Had the whole family there, including Miles!

We met outside because the mission is getting a face lift before Jesse moves in. I appreciate the management stepping in to help.

We were glad that Fabiola was feeling better after her surgery.

The kids thought this was funny.

Came home for admin duties.

Flew my drone before dark. Met a lot of my neighbors who stopped to check it out. Fun to meet them!

I thought this drink was interesting. No, I didn’t buy it.

It’s been fun to think about the things that Jesse will need to live at the mission. We looked for an air mattress but didn’t find one we liked. Got some cleaning supplies.

J and I met up with Ashley and went to Plaza Fiesta to check on Miles’ computer. We’re getting some diagnostics done.

I sure have some great kids!

The manager has been very supportive and immediately got the carpets cleaned at the mission. So we did all our work outside.

It was good to have Ms. Amy come help us again! And a new volunteer, Ms. Charmaine. Great to have them back.

Admin duties now, and rest.

I think it’s pretty good. My overwhelming humility keeps me from going on and on about it.

Helped the kids at the mission. It was packed as usual.

Also very happy to see the ESL classes starting again at Azalea. We’re hoping we’ll have a steady group of people come. Hope so.

Talked with our manager at Azalea about Jesse moving in at the mission. I think it’s going to be a good fit for him. Plenty of friends there to make him feel loved and needed. Don’t we all need that? She was super supportive and enthusiastic about him being there. I was glad about that!

We stopped by ATT to check on getting internet over there for him. He’s still taking classes on line and needs to have reliable internet. That’ll be set up next week.

Enjoyed watching TV with K this evening. Sometimes I’m amazed at the girly television I watch with my wife. I’m even more shocked when I find myself kind of liking it.

Went grocery shopping last night. Healthy food!

Had a restful morning! Edited my sermon to post on YouTube.

Then went to Stone Mountain and ran 6.1 miles on the elliptical tred mill. Groovy! Sweaty!

Then shot over to Clarkston to join the family eating Indian food at Kathmandu grill. Excellent!

Came home to rest.

Then watched “Our Idiot Brother” with Jesse and Kathy. I liked it.

Went out and flew my drone around the neighborhood for about 30 minutes.

Admin duties now. Good labor day!

I had a fun time preaching at Westside Baptist Church today.

I recorded the sermon. I’ll post it here soon.

Kathy, Jesse and I met up with Carl, Pat Barrington and their daughter Michelle at Ashley and Miles’ house for a delicious lunch. GREAT to spend time with friends!

Had a restful afternoon.

Did some shopping for the family.

Watched a movie in French called “Queen to Play” with Kevin Kline. We enjoyed it!

I loved the way the sun lit up these clouds.

Worked on my sermon for tomorrow. Looking forward to doing my best on it!

Went to Best Buy to return my new keyboard and get a replacement. The backlight feature didn’t work properly. The new one works great!

Looked on some books on brain anatomy. I love brains!

I loved the clouds today.

Went to see the Expendables 2! Really enjoyed the movie.

Perhaps my favorite of the year!

Watched an odd movie called Paper Man tonight with K. Kind of touching in a weird way.
