I enjoyed making a new podcast!

Always one of my favorite things. Most people want to be happy. Here’s my take on the “Happy Zone!”

Yesterday I posted more of my witty sayings on the web. Over 82,000 followers.

Last night we had some excitement. I went out to my garage about 9:00 last night and my car was missing! Apparently, some kid in the neighborhood, got in it, put it in neutral and rolled it down the street. The key wasn’t in it, so it was impossible to start. Landed on the crepe myrtle in my neighbor’s yard.

Looks like the car will be ok. Some oil pan damage.

The stupid kid also wiped out the neighbor’s mailbox.

J and I got a new one. We started to dig the hole.

Went to the mission this afternoon. Always fun to work with the kids!

Tuesday I went for a 4.6 mile run. I always enjoy the flowers.


Home now for admin duties. Enjoyed watching Suits with K.

We enjoyed going to CIBC Sunday morning.

We were late, but I still enjoyed getting to hear Phil’s sermon.

Having a restful labor day weekend!

I like lichens.

I enjoyed a restful morning, then went for a 3.6 mile run. It felt like running in a terrarium. Glad it was only in the 80s! I always enjoy the beautiful flowers.

The hibiscus were amazing.

Had lunch and supper with Jesse! Always fun.

Picked up the Altima from my sister in law’s house.

In the afternoon, J and I went to my brother in law’s house to borrow his truck.

We moved a box springs from our house to Azalea.

Home now to work on admin duties and enjoy watching the Mentalist with K on dvr.

Did all my bills today.

Had a fun lunch with Kathy and Jesse. Jesse was really hungry. The hospital food wasn’t very good.

Did the grocery shopping.

Came home to rest then went to see 2 Guns. I really like Denzel and Mark but the movie was just ok.

Watched some baseball with Kathy at Mountain Park Park. Crazy name, right?

Monday morning Kathy woke me up at 6am to tell me that Jesse wasn’t doing well. I jumped out of bed, quickly packed a few things and was at Tybee Island by 11am.

Ashley and I got him to the hospital where they kept him for observation for a couple of days.

He’s back to 100%! Visiting hours were only in the evening so got to visit a few of my favorite places in Savannah.

Beautiful flowers on the beach.

Went to Bonaventure Cemetery to visit my grave. One day my kids will put my ashes under those big oaks.


It always reminds me of my mortality and to make every day count. Carpe diem! It’s my favorite cemetery in the world.

I spent a lot of time at St. John the Baptist Cathedral in Savannah.

I found it to be such a beautiful and peaceful place to pray for Jesse. I love the stained glass windows!

I always light a candle.

Last time I did that I was in Westminster Abbey in London!

I enjoy shooting pictures around Savannah.

I picked Jesse up from the hospital around 5pm. We ate a quick supper and headed back to Atlanta. GREAT to be home with my family safe and secure! Amen!

What a weird knot on a tree.

I thought this movie was pretty funny.

I picked up this rock near river street. It’s part of a much larger rock that was brought from England to be used as ballast for the ship!

The cobblestone streets are awesome. History under foot. Ben Franklin and George Washington might have stepped on this rock!

Kathy and I sent to First Baptist Church Doraville this morning. I was the guest speaker.

Ate fish with K at Piccadilly.

K and I had a fun time with the group from Christ Community Church.

They’ve come to help at Forest Dale. Excellent!

Went to Walgreens for our annual flu shot.

Came home to rest and prepare for my sermon tomorrow at FBC Doraville.

Also vacuumed the rooms.

And cleaned my fish tank. It’s still stirred up here.

I went to see Kick Ass 2 this afternoon. I thought it was pretty good. Kinda silly. I liked the fight scenes.

Ate at Hot and Cold Buffet. It was really tasty.

Came home to rest and enjoy watching shows with K.

Went for a 2.60 mile run this morning. Warmish. GREAT to see blue skies again!

Always something new and beautiful to see.

Looked like some car went off the road.

I saw this sign near Thai of Norcross where J and I went for lunch.


Also this little guy was about the size of my hand and very shy.

This morning Jesse and I went to Norcross to meet up with our partners in the area. We are planning on starting a mission at Forest Vale.

Then over to the mission to work with the kids! Always entertaining.

Tremendous thunderstorm and torrential rain at the mission. Of course some of the kids have the compulsion to run around in it.

Had supper at Pizza Cafe with K and J! Fun!

Can you believe it? MORE rain? We’ve had over 2″ in the last two days. Lots of thunder today too.


Wrote my newsletter for this month. Also printed up the labels for the envelopes.

Enjoyed lunch with Jesse and Kathy.

Our friends at the Atlanta Metro Baptist Association printed the newsletters for us. Thanks, Joel! The kids helped us put the labels on the letters.

Then we helped the kids with their homework.


I taught Adit how to use a ball pump.

Had fun watching the new episodes of Suits and Duck Dynasty with K.
