Funston! Cabot! Asian Square!

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:05 pm

We had fun briefing the teams this morning!
a

We are decorating the fellowship hall for our Team Time in the mornings. It’s been fun. And a lot of work.

I fired up the Amazing Whirlwind Simulator this morning. It looked cool!
w

Enjoyed taking them to Asian Square. We visited Sweet Hut, Hoa Da–traditional medicine store and CD Tower.

After a quick lunch, the team went to the missions. Ash and I checked on them and took pictures/video.
k
s

The wifi at the missions isn’t working. Had to talk to their tech support. They’re sending a guy over tomorrow.
a
w

Went back to Walmart to pick up a few things that the other Walmart was missing.

The things I’ve ordered have started to come in. We got the bubble kit and the projector screen today. When I got home the projector had arrived
s

I’ve also decided to start displaying items from my museum. Why should I be the only one to enjoy them?

DVD! Funston! Buford Highway Farmers Market!

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:54 pm

Burned the dvd from the video of FBC Cheraw that I edited late last night. Always great when I get that in the mail.
s

I gave the briefing solo today. Ash worked with the group from Arkansas.

I enjoy this group a lot. They’re super fun.
d

Went on Safari to the Buford Highway Farmers market with the team. Always a hoot.

They’ve done a wonderful job.

Between assignments, Ashley and I gathered material for our presentations during our Team Time.

We also cleaned out or storage closet and organized our stuff for the briefing.
s

Ashley did a fantastic job!! Before.
b

After!!
a

I spent a lot of my time cleaning, painting and refurbishing the Whirlwind Simulator! Jesse and I worked on it together. It’s one of our finest productions.
w

I’ve also been doing research on getting the record for making the World’s Largest Bubble. J and I are taking existing technology and scaling it way up to see what the results might be. Very exciting! The current record is 105 cu. ft. That’s about the size of half a bus!

We want to launch them off the top of Stone Mountain! Yeah, baby!

I also went to Walmart to get some the the tools I’ll need. Hammer, pie plate, measuring cup, tongs, light and bulb. I went to a gas station near my office at FBC Doraville and got dry ice. I’m really looking forward to firing it up.

Always fun shopping with Ashley!

Ashley and I are working on how we use the Fellowship Hall at FBC Doraville. We have some fun new ideas we’re looking forward on trying. I cleaned off some of my old display stuff. Missing some pieces which aggravates me. Not everything got back to our house after the fire in 2008.

I talked with my Mom tonight! She said that Dad had been brought home from the hospital. What an answer to prayer!!

I’m getting a video projector to enhance our presentations. I thinking of some fun ways to add to the experience that we provide. I got out our whirlwind simulator and cleaned it off this evening. I’m looking forward to getting that working again.

Also thinking about some ideas with bubbles. That’s been a fun part of our presentation. I did research on the best bubble formulas out there. Looks like it could be a lot of fun! Only thing better than a bubble is a whole LOT of bubbles. Or maybe one really BIG BIG Bubble!

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:18 pm

Ash and I had fun briefing the teams on Catholicism!

We had our commitment time at the end where we pass a baton along to the next person who responds, “He’s counting on ME.” I think it’s a special time for everyone.
