I got the new tags for my cars this weekend. Glad to have that done!

We had some rain.

My birthday marked the 25th time I’ve read the entire Bible cover to cover! I bought the NIV edition of the One Year Bible today. Starting fresh. Pretty exciting!

I’ve had a relaxing weekend!

Recorded a new podcast Friday afternoon. Always fun!

Kathy and I went to Provinos to get a free supper for my birthday.

Then went to see Lone Ranger. It was just ok.

Finished editing, uploading and burning a dvd for the teams last week. Glad to have that in the mail!

We had a birthday for me and Miles’ Mom tonight!

I liked the picture they made me!

Jesse also made a PDF version of my One Year Bible. It’s basically a diary of things that happened to us each day over the last 25 years. It was the only thing that I worried about losing when we had our fire in 2008. Now it’s preserved permanently in digital form. GROOVY!

We all had fun whacking the pinata! It was surprisingly durable!!

I enjoyed watching Miles and Jesse lift weights.


Even Ashley gave it a whirl!

Nearly 1 1/2″ of rain last night. Powerful storm!

I sure was happy to see my car back and COLD air blowing in from these vents today!

Ashley and I did our final briefing with our teams from Florida and Tennessee!

They enjoyed the “Yeah, baby!” t-shirts!

I enjoyed getting to know them. Had fun shooting pictures with the Sublime Blue Mariachi Hat and as mannequins at Laredo Western Wear! Fun! Visited all the teams at the missions today!

Ash and I had fun briefing our teams on Hinduism and Islam today.

Then took them to Al Madina!

Also went to Global Mall and the Shiva Manir Hindu Temple. They had a new pries there. Had never met him before. He was still very friendly and open.

We at lunch at the Ashiana Indian food.

After lunch I went to pay for my car repairs and pick it up. The mechanic had driven it to the shop I normally take it to, T and G. Sure was glad to get her fixed up.

I was especially looking forward to having AC again! Valve job looks good. I even have a clicker that works now!

My stomach is kind of burning. In British English we call it a “ditchy tummy.”

Ash and I had fun giving our briefing on Buddhism.


Then over to Asian Square.


We visited CD Tower, Hong Kong Bakery and Hoa Da–a traditional Chinese pharmacy.



Enjoyed Malaysian food at Penang.



Then to the missions!

I hope to get my car tomorrow. Believe it or not, I have not enjoyed riding in a car with no AC!

K and I had a good time at CIBC Sunday. It was Youth Sunday.

Ash and I enjoyed briefing the teams today. I always get a bit extra wired up when I have a room full!

Ash was her usual excellent self!

We took them over to the Buford Highway Farmers Market.

Then to the missions!

Ash and I also went to Penang to organize the lunch for 70 people tomorrow. That should be extra groovy.

I clobbered my head getting into Ashley’s Mustang today. Ouch.

Home now to rest. I borrowed Jesse’s car today. It has no AC and drink gas like crazy. I’m worn out just from the heat in the car.

Powerful weather in the area!

One of my favorite things this morning: PODCAST! I really enjoyed making this edition. In honor of July 4th, this episode is called “IndepenDANCE!” Click on the title and GROOVE! Our van passed the emissions test. Unbelievable! Enjoyed lunch with Kathy. J and I hiked up Stone Mountain. We were nearly to the top when I noticed black clouds headed right toward us. We ran the mile down, jumped into the car and fifteen seconds later it was POURING rain. Called that one! I really enjoyed finding the interesting mushrooms. Flowers were awesome. It rained a lot today!

Took the Financial Report over to Jon Paul’s house. Ashley does a great job on those!

Had a fun lunch with Kathy and Jesse today!


I thought the sandwich K got was beautiful.

Went shopping for groceries. Over 40 items on the list. Yow!

Birds were happy.

K and I were thinking about getting out of town to Chattanooga this weekend. Then my car went dead. It’s running, but now it needs a valve job on one cylinder. Jesse helped me take it over to KC’s in Tucker this morning.

Looks like it’s going to cost around $600 to fix the valve problem. Otherwise the car is in great shape! The mechanic said that the year that Chrysler made my car was a really good one. So that was good news.

J and I went by Ashley’s house after lunch. I wanted to see her new dog, Mowgli. She’s a little sweetheart! The dog’s nice too.

Tremendous rain on the way home.

Yow! Already had 1″ in just a couple of hours.

It rained about 1/2″ yesterday.

Home now to work on admin duties.

Lone Ranger opened this weekend. I’m looking forward to seeing it.

Packaged and mailed off the dvds to the two churches that worked with us last week. I edit video then post it to YouTube as well as mailing a hard copy as a dvd to the church leader.

Got gas. Prices seem to be going down.

Great team!

Talked to my mechanic. Apparently, one of the valves got bent when the water pump seized up. It shredded the timing belt stopping the engine. So another group works on the internal parts of the engine.

Probably take it over to the other guys and see what they say.

Have to figure out if it’s worth putting more money in or going with something different. I know what I’ve put in on my car. I know that it’s been taken care of well.
