Packed up for my trip to NYC on Thursday morning.

Picked up bills from the office.

Helped the kids with their homework this afternoon.

Went to Walmart to pick up a new pump for the basket and soccer balls. Also saw this. Really? Engineered?

Admin duties now. Watched a lot of Duck Dynasty with K! Always fun!

Had a fun time with Joy Breedlove and her friend Sharon from Blackshear Place BC in Gainesville!

Joy is interested in working with Somali ladies working in Clarkston. We had a good lunch at Madina, then I took them over to meet some Somali women who run dress stores.

We had an interesting visit with the ladies, all of whom were delighted to help my friend Joy get to know more about Somalia, their culture and language!

Came home for about 30 minutes to study and pick up Jesse. Then off to Azalea to help the kids with their homework.

The 5th graders are doing a geometry project.

They design a town with roads that are parallel, perpendicular and intersect at oblique angles. They seem to be making progress!


Stopped at Kroger to pick up some groceries.

Home now to work on admin duties. Kathy and Ashley got home safely from their conference in Alabama. GREAT to have them back!

Couldn’t believe it rained again last night! Another 1/2″ this morning!

Woke up to a beautiful moth waiting for me to say good morning!

The roses are beautiful too!

Cleaned and refilled my hummingbird feeders! I enjoy watching my little feathered bullets!

Worked on the State of Georgia Corporation papers today. It was kind of a hassle because their web site had changed and I had to come up with user name and password stuff again. Got it to work and paid our annual fee!

Also came up with some clarifications on logistics at one of our missions in Lawrenceville. We’re trying to get volunteers mobilized in the area.

Had a good time with the kids at the mission! I helped them with their geometry project.

On our way home, I took Jesse to see Iron Man 3! He really liked it. I thought it was great even the second time!

Admin duties now. Doing more research on my upcoming trip to NYC.

Rained almost exactly 3″ yesterday. Excellent! I pulled something in my back and neck a couple of days ago. Ouch! Now I smell like Icy Hot. Stayed up late talking with Jesse. Always fun! I saw Iron Man 3 without him. He wasn’t really happy about that. I didn’t think he really wanted to see it that badly. I really liked the movie. Much deeper than the other Iron Man movies. Recorded a new podcast! It’s AWESOME! Check out “Ultra Diamond!” You’ll love it! Just click on the title. Ate burgers at Red Robin. Muy delicioso! Then over to Barnes and Noble. I enjoyed looking through the books on NYC. I’m psyched up about visiting the Big Apple again. I liked this book title. J and I went for groceries. Cleaned the fish tank. I liked these tiny mushrooms. Took out the garbage. Twice as much recycle as regular! Cut my hair. Made more sugar water for my h Admin duties now. J said he was cooking stir fry tonight. Good lad!

It was a rainy day! Their kids still had a great attitude and knocked on every door in the apartment complex.

We crowded everyone into the mission. Had a great time on a rainy day!

Home now for admin duties.

Kathy and Ashley headed for Alabama to speak at a missions conference. Ashley has really been busy!

Enjoyed a fun lunch with Jesse and Kathy!


Later we went to meet Jesse’s new doctor. He seems like a good fellow!

I had a great time at the Local Missions Conference at FBC Atlanta on Sunday!

I saw this at the conference. Shocked me.

After the event, I went back to my house to pack the car and pick up Jesse and Kathy to go to Tybee Island.

We had fun together!

Also went to Bonaventure cemetery and rode around the Historic District.

I REALLY missed my bike! Got to see a bike race!

65 1/2mi loops! They were cranking it up!

The beach was beautiful!

Back home in awesome Stone Mountain!

Ashley and I had a fun time briefing our team this morning.

We shared about cultural Catholicism in Mexico. Took a trip over to Plaza Fiesta! Always bright and beautiful!

Worked at Azalea Place with the kids.

Then over to Cumberland Court!

Came home to get ready for the Local Missions Fair at First Baptist Atlanta tomorrow morning. Jesse and Kathy and I are going to Tybee Island for a few days. Started packing for that trip.

Ashley and I had a fun time giving our briefing to our new team from Brook Hills Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL!

We took them on a tour of the Buford Highway Farmers Market! Always fun and interesting.

Worked on a painting parking lot stripes project at New Peachtree Apartments.

Then over to the mission at Azalea!

Came home to work on my newsletter. Got it written, produced and emailed to our partner Joel Harrison to print up.

Admin duties now and spend time with Kathy.

We’ve been talking about a short trip to the beach next week. Sadly, it’s supposed to rain pretty much the whole time.

It’s Kathy’s Birth Day! Woot!

Ashley and I took a ride up to Marietta today to have a chat with Trey Sapp from Eastside Baptist Church and two other pastors, Josh and Fabio. We enjoyed great fellowship! Talked a lot about the ministry going on at the apartment complex on Delk.

Checked out some of downtown Marietta before heading back to Chamblee. Interesting visuals.

Did some shopping at Walmart before going to the mission to help the kids with their homework. I bought Ashley and Miles some plants for their deck. Ashley noticed something in one of the Hibiscus plants.

Got some new flip flops.

Ran 5.01 miles this evening. Actually got pretty dark before I got home. Not good. I liked this rose I saw on my route.

Admin duties now. Still need to write this month’s newsletter.

Watched Psych and the Duck Dynasty season finale in Hawaii. Fun!
