Went over to pay for my car this morning. Over $400. Yow!

Then to FBC Doraville to brief the kids on Islam and Hinduism.

From there we went to Al Madina to check out the Islamic library they have and to meet with Abdul, my Muslim friend.

Finished off the morning at Global Mall to check out the Hindu temple. Always interesting!

Lunch at FBC Doraville and also to work on the Bags of Love project.

The kids decorated the bags, wrote some Spanish scriptures on them and put some candy in them for the residents at the apartment complexes.

It was great to have our team from Strong Rock Christian School serving with us today too!

Ashley and I visited the teams at the complexes. Sad to see our team from Fellowship Bible Church leave. They’ve been a wonderful group!

Also checked on the Journey Church team. They’ve been a great group of middle schoolers. Exceptionally great attitude, especially considering the near freezing temperatures!

Ash and I helped the kids with their homework. GREAT to have Kathy and Jesse to pitch in today!

That let me leave a bit early so I can work on my newsletter and get the labels done.

Admin duties now. Man, I’m pooped. I think this is 30 days in a row without a rest day. Ouch.

I was uptight about the weather this morning. I took this sunshine through the clouds that the Lord was with us!

Went by my mechanics to check on my car. They got it fixed. We’ll see how it runs tomorrow morning!

I had a fun time briefing my team from Journey Church from Franklin, NC this morning! Another fired up bunch of middle schoolers.

Then I took them to Plaza Fiesta to explore the wonders of that amazing place!

Next to Buford Highway Farmers Market. Another crowd favorite.

It was mighty cold today. Mid thirtys and REALLY windy. YOW! Hard to round up kids in that kind of weather.

We served in eight different locations today!

I spent most of my day with the Journey team since this was their first day.

After working with the teams, Ashley and I helped the kids with their homework at Azalea.

I sent Ashley home to rest and I went to Walmart to get more supplies for the service project tomorrow and the outreach this weekend with Peachtree Corners Baptist Church.

Didn’t have everything I needed, so had to go to a SECOND Walmart. Glad I have one near my house!

I couldn’t believe that we actually had some SNOW flurries as I was coming home from Chamblee today! Amazing!

Then home to spend time with K and watch a recorded episode of Psych and watch part 4 of the Bible on the History channel. Good stuff!

Admin duties now and rest. Back at the church at 10am for another briefing and safari with the teams!

Had a great time with my teams from Fellowship Bible Church and FBC Jonesboro today!

Met up with the Fellowship team at Global Mall!

I took them to the Indian grocery store as well as to the Hindu temple.

They enjoyed seeing the Indian fashions!

Next stop was to Madina to learn more about Islam and enjoy some Middle Eastern food!

I always enjoy seeing my friend Ali!

Best part of the day is always working with the children at the missions!

Today is our last day with our team from FBC Jonesboro! Sad to see them go. They did a wonderful job!

My car ran really rough today. Engine light came on several times. Weirdly enough it ran fine on the way home. Still, I thought it was best to drop it off with my mechanics.

I saw this sign at the Hindu temple. Made me wonder why we don’t do credit cards at church.

I prefer to be an ultimate driver.

Had a great day today! It was super rainy this morning so I had to go into ultra-mega-positive mode to keep our spirits up. I had everybody chanting “Best Day EVER!” It was pretty intense!

Gave the group from Nashville’s Fellowship Bible Church my briefing this morning.

Ashley was working with my college team from Jonesboro. Worked out GREAT, although I missed her being there to help me with our “Horse and Pony” show!

Took the groups over to the Buford Highway Farmer’s market. Always fun!

Then to six locations around Chamblee and Doraville. By the time we got to the missions the rain had stopped. PTL!

Our team from FBC Jonesboro continued to do an AWESOME job too!

Looking forward to a good day with them tomorrow as we take them to explore the Global Mall and Madina grocery stores as well as back to the missions!

Today makes 28 days straight without a day off. Looks like at least five more days to go! But we’ve had over 100 professions of faith in the last week or so! That definitely keeps me psyched up!

Cleaned up a nasty area behind one of the apartment complexes.

Then over to the missions to work with the kids at Azalea Place, Shallowford Gardens and Buford Heights! Awesome day with an amazing team!

Had a great lunch with two of my good friends Tito Ruiz and Derrek Poston!

We had an awesome talk about church planting in Metro Atlanta in particular as relates to the Latino population.

It was great to have the WHOLE family with me today! We went to FBC Doraville to check on the amount of chairs and tables we have for the teams coming into town next week.

Ashley and I also went to get the rest of the supplies that we need for the outreach and service projects with our three teams coming this weekend and next week. We got most of what we needed at Party City and Walmart. We’ll be decorating these bags and writing scriptures in Spanish for residents. We’ll put some candy in them too!

Then over to the mission to help the kids! Always plenty to do.

The girls got a kick out of “my” 1 Dimension pajamas! Hilarious!

I enjoyed eating supper with my good friend Ian North and K and J!

Home now to work on admin duties.

Just finished filling out a grant application form with 12 Stone Church. They’ve been big supporters of our ministry in the past. Pray that they will continue to help us in the future!!

BEST NEWS of the day is that my Mom’s surgery went GREAT! She’s at home now and feeling just fine. THANKS for all your prayer for my family! God’s still in the miracle working business!

Jesse, Ashley and I had a good meeting with the managers at the apartment complexes in Chamblee and Doraville today!



Ashley took our notes. I voted her to be the new secretary!

We learned a lot about what was going on in the community, especially what was happening with crime. Looks like it’s pretty safe here!

Always great to see my friends!

We went around to the complexes where we’re having teams this weekend and next week.

Also went to check on possible service projects in the area. We made good progress!

Then over to have a short visit with our friend Ryan!

He’s a computer coder like Jesse. I hope that they can work together. Ryan’s a super cool guy and a great musician!

Helped the kids with their homework. Always plenty to do!!

I’ve been enjoying www.audible.com! I can download books onto my iPhone and then listen to them in my car. Sure makes the drive go by faster!

This morning I worked on editing the last of the video I shot for my three teams last week.

I compressed the video and started the uploading process to YouTube. I have a director’s account so I don’t have the restrictive time limits that most people have.

Also burned disks of the video into DVDs. Got the addresses and mailed them to the Atlanta Chinese Christian Church North and the Atlanta Chinese Christian Church.

Ate lunch with my whole family today! It was exciting to hear all the great reports about Ashley and Kathy’s trip to Gatlinburg this weekend.

There were over 2,000 ladies and girls there! Wow!

Kathy, Jesse and I joined Ashley at the mission to help the kids.

Plenty of work today. And POURED down rain!

I preached my “Lost and Found” sermon. One of my new favorites! I do the prodigal son as if I was back in Africa. Then share the story when one of our girls at the mission got lost. Good stuff!



Ate lunch with Jesse! Never too much J time!

Just got a message from A and K that they just got to Ashley’s house! Terrific! SO glad to have them back home safely! Ashley spoke to over 2,000 women and girls on Saturday night. I know she rocked the house!

At home now to finish up my admin duties and to work on editing video from this last week.
