HSA! Logistics! Azalea!

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:18 pm

Beautiful clouds this morning! High cirrus like that means rain soon!
c

Had a great lunch with the whole family!

Ashley and I spent time working on the Health Savings Account plan for Whirlwind Missions. Basically, you set up an account and put money into it as a type of savings account. Then when you spend money on your health bills you take money out from that special HSA account. The money that’s put into the account is tax free up to $5,000.

Not the easiest thing in the world to set up, but certainly not THAT hard.

Also called back on guys that had wanted more information about bringing teams to our area in the International Village. Always glad to do that. Ashley handles almost all of it now!

Went to the office to check on the mail.
o
t
Ashley, Jesse and I worked at the mission with the kids. I still ended helping a few kids for the whole time. It’s a joy!
a

Are you smarter than a 2nd grader?
s

Sweetheart little girls!
t

Home now to work on admin duties and rest. I have the weekend off. Sadly, Kathy and Ashley are going to Tennessee and will be gone for 5 days. : ( The boys will miss them!

Sugar’s always glad to see Ashley!

Run! Email! Website! Mission!

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:20 pm

This morning I worked on admin duties. Checking email, making sure everything is still on task.
e
Went for a 3.59 mile run. Beautiful weather. I listened to one the newest Lee Child books on audio. I run, listen, throw, bounce and catch a ball. Fun! Certainly takes more concentration.

Worked on updating my website: http://verbalsurgery.com/podcasts“Verbal Surgery Podcasts!”
p

I added the last six podcasts to the webpage. I also came up with a TOP 10 PODCASTS list.
p

It occurred to me that having 208 podcasts to choose from, the choice becomes almost overwhelming. So I thought a list might be helpful.

Ate a salad a McDonalds. It was actually pretty good. Ranch & Bacon.

Came home to rest for an hour and then back to the mission with Jesse. We had a full room of kids, so that was good.

v

m

Silly girls with stickers.
s
The girls had some projects.
i
s

We weren’t sure if any kids would be around.

Came home for admin duties. Looking forward to time with K! ; )

I feel like I’m in this business with people!
w

This surprised me.
g

I’m enjoying playing Bioshock Infinite. The art is amazing. I thought this fountain/statue crying tears was an amazing image.

Hoarse! Rest!

Tim A. Cummins @ 3:49 pm

Didn’t sleep well last night. Kept waking up. Can’t say I was worried about anything. That’s good!

This pollen season has been outrageous! Over 8,000 on the pollen scale last week. I’ve been glad that I haven’t been plagued with headaches. But it’s really hit my voice. Feeling pretty hoarse.

Worked on my email and phone calls this morning.

Decided it’s best to rest today. Not much homework with the kids at the mission because of the CRCT test next week. Just the 1st and 2nd graders have work. Kathy said I should “take a break.” She and J will cover for the few kids we have there today. Smiles to my team!

Admin duties now and try to rest some more.

One of my favorite things to do! PODCAST! Here’s my newest effort “Super Human Resource Manager!” Just click on the title and LISTEN.

t

Lots of pollen in the air. Check it out for Thursday. . . .over 8,000!
p

I beat Tomb Raider last night. Best game EVER! I actually feel smarter from having played that game.

Started a new one today called Bioshock Infinite. It’s been pretty cool so far. I like that it has Franklin as a
leader.
f
The game has hummingbirds that flit around the flowers near you.
r

Went to go see Jurassic Park in 3D. Groovy! It was amazing how three dimensional the scenes really looked.
j
And officially, Velociraptors are still scary.

j

I liked the stuff on the walls at Zaxby’s.

Rest! Run!

Tim A. Cummins @ 11:46 pm

Rained about 1 1/2″ yesterday.
r

Good rest day!
Jesse has gone camping with Ashley, Miles and a group of their friends. Just K and I around the house.

Ashley and Miles came over to pick up the camping gear and get Jesse.
a
I ran 2.59 miles with the Sugar Dawg. I liked these flowers on the run.

f
c

The dogwoods are beautiful too!
d

It was lovely outside today!
y

Ashley put this on the door for Father’s Day two years ago now. She was still living at home then.
a

Enjoyed playing the end of Tomb Raider, perhaps the best game ever!

Looking forward to watching movies with K. Sugar just jumped up on my bed. The joys of family time. 🙂

We watched an Israeli movie in Hebrew called the Human Resources Manager. It was different. We liked the scenes in Jerusalem the most.

Here are some shots around my room.

e

I’ll upload that asap.

The azaleas are so beautiful this year.
c

I thought the pollen pattern at the edge of the window was interesting.
a

Went to lunch with K and J. Treated ourselves to Red Lobster. They looked so beautiful today.

Rob! Recon!

Tim A. Cummins @ 12:19 pm

Still a lot of pollen! Here’s what washes off the car.
p

I had a fun day Thursday with Rob Martin!
r

He’s a great friend and partner with Whirlwind Missions!

His group Mobilizing Students have brought a lot of people our direction to do missions.

June 10-14 we have about 100 people coming to town to work with us! We needed to look for more places for them to stay in the evening.

We went by Peachtree Pres. Had a good meeting with a couple of people, but looks like they’re doing their VBS the same days we need to stay there.
pp
p

Finally went by Comfort Inn in Doraville.
c
We’ve used their hotel many times. Talked to April to see what kind of a deal we could get to stay there and also provide a couple of meals.
a
Looks like that might work out! : ) I think that it’s a good choice on many levels.
r

Did the shopping at Walmart for the week. Beautiful flowers in their greenhouse!
f
f
t

This ad creeped me out.
p
Lots of new squeeze stuff for kids.
s
What makes it sinful?
s
I prefer to just clean PART of my tire.
t
I take a bath in this every day.
s
I wonder if this works on people? Sometime my knee hurts. . . .
w
I liked the sound of this.
i
This is my life in a nutshell.
i
This is what I ride to work.
p

From one of the plants I bought Kathy for her birthday! (April 25th!)
e

After Walmart!
w

Another errand!
b

The view outside the kitchen window . . .for K!
b

Came home to watch movies with K! Restful evening. Put off my admin duties till this morning. Trying to act at least a little like I’m taking a break!

Laughing’s not usually associated with skulls. Maybe it should be!
s

I thought that the water patterns/pollen on the roof of my car reminded me of gas nebulae in outer space!
n

One more thing to do.
g

The Wysteria looks AMAZING this year!

Podcast! Rest!

Tim A. Cummins @ 11:02 pm

I enjoyed one of my favorite things today: PODCAST!
t

This episode marks the 40,000th download of my show! I think that’s pretty groovy.
t
I this this is one of the best episodes yet! Podcast!

I rinsed off my car. LOT of pollen in the air!
r
Jesse and I went to Metro Cafe for lunch. Tasty!

Came home to read, rest and play Tomb Raider. I think it’s one of the most beautiful games I’ve played recently. Take a look at these shots!
t
h
r
I liked this shipyard.
s
s

Kathy and I enjoyed a restful evening. We watched Argo. I can’t believe Affleck wasn’t nominated for a Directors Award.
I thought this tulip was beautiful.
