I hope to get my car tomorrow. Believe it or not, I have not enjoyed riding in a car with no AC!

K and I had a good time at CIBC Sunday. It was Youth Sunday.

Ash and I enjoyed briefing the teams today. I always get a bit extra wired up when I have a room full!

Ash was her usual excellent self!

We took them over to the Buford Highway Farmers Market.

Then to the missions!

Ash and I also went to Penang to organize the lunch for 70 people tomorrow. That should be extra groovy.

I clobbered my head getting into Ashley’s Mustang today. Ouch.

Home now to rest. I borrowed Jesse’s car today. It has no AC and drink gas like crazy. I’m worn out just from the heat in the car.

Powerful weather in the area!

One of my favorite things this morning: PODCAST! I really enjoyed making this edition. In honor of July 4th, this episode is called “IndepenDANCE!” Click on the title and GROOVE! Our van passed the emissions test. Unbelievable! Enjoyed lunch with Kathy. J and I hiked up Stone Mountain. We were nearly to the top when I noticed black clouds headed right toward us. We ran the mile down, jumped into the car and fifteen seconds later it was POURING rain. Called that one! I really enjoyed finding the interesting mushrooms. Flowers were awesome. Took the Financial Report over to Jon Paul’s house. Ashley does a great job on those!

Had a fun lunch with Kathy and Jesse today!


I thought the sandwich K got was beautiful.

Went shopping for groceries. Over 40 items on the list. Yow!

Birds were happy.

K and I were thinking about getting out of town to Chattanooga this weekend. Then my car went dead. It’s running, but now it needs a valve job on one cylinder. Jesse helped me take it over to KC’s in Tucker this morning.

Looks like it’s going to cost around $600 to fix the valve problem. Otherwise the car is in great shape! The mechanic said that the year that Chrysler made my car was a really good one. So that was good news.

J and I went by Ashley’s house after lunch. I wanted to see her new dog, Mowgli. She’s a little sweetheart! The dog’s nice too.

Tremendous rain on the way home.

Yow! Already had 1″ in just a couple of hours.

It rained about 1/2″ yesterday.

Home now to work on admin duties.

Packaged and mailed off the dvds to the two churches that worked with us last week. I edit video then post it to YouTube as well as mailing a hard copy as a dvd to the church leader.

Got gas. Prices seem to be going down.

Great team!

Talked to my mechanic. Apparently, one of the valves got bent when the water pump seized up. It shredded the timing belt stopping the engine. So another group works on the internal parts of the engine.

Probably take it over to the other guys and see what they say.

Have to figure out if it’s worth putting more money in or going with something different. I know what I’ve put in on my car. I know that it’s been taken care of well.

Funny.

We’ve had about 2″ of rain in the last three days.

Last night the electrician came over to my house to fix a wiring issue. Part of our house had no power.

Minor’s Electrical did the work. I’d recommend them.

He had to take a lot of switches and junctions apart to find the wire that was loose.

Even had to go up in the attic.

Turned out to be the exterior plug on my porch that was the culprit.

Here’s what it looks like now. I’ll put an exterior cover on it as well.

Ended up costing me about $200 to get it fixed.

My mechanic is working on my car. Thinks it’s the water pump that seized up and the timing belt that it sheared off. Probably be around $1,000 when it’s all said and done.
