Podcast! Yard Work! Office! Capt. America! Jesse!

Tim A. Cummins @ 11:09 pm

I enjoyed recording a new podcast this morning!

Relationships in our lives are SO important. Especially with our loved ones. We need to be there for them forever. Check out “Long Term Parking” and make those friendships even BETTER! Click on the title and groove!

Worked in my yard for over three hours today.

Super hard work mowing.
m
m
m

Then trimming the trees and bushes.
t

The tree had grown around this brick I put there years ago. Weird.
b

And clipping the vines that are taking over my fences.
f
v
Once they’re dead, I’ll pull all of the vines off the fence.
Hauled some big rocks around the yard.
r
r
Put them in some holes.
h

Got cleaned up then met up with Jesse to see the new Captain America movie, “The Winter Soldier.”
n

j

We really liked it.
t

We went by my office at FBC Doraville to pick up more photo cards for the missions conference Kathy and I are going to on Sunday morning.

Enjoyed eating supper with Jesse.

Back home to enjoy watching Elementary with Kathy.

Admin duties now. I have a headache. Probably from all the dust in the air from the mowing this morning.

Loved the clouds today!

DMV! Dusting! Rob! Antiques! Soccer!

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:23 pm

There was a glitch with the DMV and my car insurance yesterday. Seems like Geico didn’t download that we have coverage to the State of Georgia.
d
Got it all figured out and verified with the DMV that they know we have insurance. What a hassle.

Talked to accounting at First Baptist Atlanta about some financial changes. It’s all good!

Dusted my downstairs room. Now it’s completely clean. Yeah, baby!
d

Delivered the financial report to our treasurer. Always good to get that accomplished.
w
Great to have Ashley to help with that. Amen! Just got a call from her that she twisted her knee this evening. She’s supposed to have a horse riding weekend in the N. Georgia mountains. Pray that she’ll be ok!

Ate lunch with my good friend Rob Martin. Always great to spend time with him.
r
Love the roses in their garden at Global Mall.
r

Took Jesse out for a late lunch. Never too much Jesse.

Dropped him back at the mission and hung out at some of the local antique stores in the area. a

I’ve been picking up some little gifts for my friends in the UK. I always enjoy giving people cool things. Lots of cool things to see!
f
s
s
r

I shot a camera like this at Baylor back in the 70s.
c

Went to the mission to check on the kids.
d
a
d
No homework, but there was a soccer goal to put up.
s
j
g

a

They love it! We’ll be working on modifying the field—which mean digging up all the rocks in the area to leave it safe for the kids. I may go back tomorrow with a hoe and try and help. I left messages with one of the dads who does outside work. He probably has the best tools for that.

Ate supper with Jesse, then went to Walmart to do some grocery shopping.
w

I guess someone put this cart out of its misery.
c

I liked the sound of this.
m

Came home to work on admin duties.

Looking forward to time with Kathy!

Expedition! Financials! Run! Mission!

Tim A. Cummins @ 6:18 pm

Got nearly 1/2″ of rain last night.
r

Last night we got a letter from the Ford company that said that our Expedition could catch fire at any time under the hood! YOW! Some faulty part they had discovered.

f
We took her into the Ford dealer today.

Enjoyed lunch with Kathy.

Worked on the financial report. NAMB has changed the way they do the book keeping. Sure makes it more complicated for us.
s

Ran to the Ford dealership to pick up the Expedition. 3.88 miles along Highway 78. Pretty flat!
r
Not exactly the most beautiful route, but still had some pretty parts.
r
The Yellow River.
y

Got home and took a shower, then went to the mission.

No homework to speak of.

Delivered our new soccer goal. Great!
s
Home now for admin duties and to rest.

Cleaning! Mission!

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:46 pm

Big storms in the are last night. We only got a 1/2″ of rain in our area. No big deal for us. Much worse south of Atlanta. We had some tree branches fall. Bunch of seeds from pine trees.
s

Worked on cleaning the downstairs of my house today. Big job.
v

Vacuumed.

Even cleaned under my bed. The horror.
h

Then wet mopped everything.

Even cleaned out the vacuum cleaner and wet/dry vac afterwards. Nasty jobs.

Enjoyed lunch with Kathy.

Worked on financials in the afternoon and rested.

Went by my office to check on the mail and water plants.
o

Helped the kids at the mission with their homework. Very little going on.
m
t

Went to Walmart to do some shopping.
w

Then to the bank to deposit checks.
b

Went back to the mission to check on the kids again.
p

Tomorrow will be their last day of testing. The big storms and talk of tornadoes scared the kids. I found this scrawled on the table today.
d

Enjoyed watching 56 Up with Kathy this evening. Interesting documentary done with English kids every 7 years.

Admin duties now.

We got a letter from the Ford factory that said that the Expedition could possible catch on fire under the hood. Bizarre to get that kind of note in the mail after all these years.

I liked the flowers outside the restaurant.

Podcast! Todd! Mission!

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:59 pm

Worked on a new podcast this morning! One of my favorite things!
t

This episode is a new favorite called “Just say, YES!” How many times do you want to do something but talk yourself out of it. YOU tell YOURSELF, “no.” It’s important to give yourself permission to do your best and try new things. Just say, “YES!”
p
Click on the title. Say YES to this podcast! You’ll be glad you did.

Cleaned up my porch area and bird feeders.
po

Wrote checks for the bills.
b
Burned a DVD for FBC McDonough and got it in the mail.
d

Then went to Lawrenceville to meet up with one of my favorite supporters, Todd Harrison!
t

He’s got a great business that is great for kids called Pure Fun.
p

He has helped our ministry a LOT and it’s always great to spend time with him.

Came home to rest and work on admin duties.

Then over to Azalea to help the kids with their homework. Not much going on with the CRCT testing happening this week. We still kept busy.
a
m
y

Kids got their grades. Some are really doing well!
r
Silly boys.
s
Enjoyed supper with Jesse.

Home now to work on admin duties and enjoy time with Kathy.

This is how I feel about myself.
l

I liked the sound of this.

CIBC! Budapest Hotel!

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:44 pm

Kathy and I enjoyed going to Clarkston International Bible Church this morning.
t
c
m

Could use a lesson on subject/verb agreement I reckon.

Pastor Phil preached on intercessory prayer. An important topic!
p
p

I liked this owl.
o
And signs like these mean I’m at the right church.
s
It’s all about this.
p

Ate lunch at Piccadilly with Jesse. Always great to spend time with him.
j

Kathy rode her bike back home from Clarkston. I came home to rest. She got home right before the big storms hit. I went out to find her but she actually beat me home!

Did some creative writing and posted it to my feed on Twitter. Over 80,000 followers!
r

Kathy and I went to see the Grand Budapest Hotel this evening.
b
I liked it. I’d give it a solid B. K wasn’t too impressed.

Home now for admin duties.

Come on. Make up your mind.

FBC McDonough!

Tim A. Cummins @ 6:07 pm

Ashley and I enjoyed briefing our team from FBC McDonough this morning!
a
t

We took them on a tour of the Buford Highway Farmers Market. Always fun and good practice at being a fire hose of positivity in a secular environment.
d
s
m

We ate lunch at the market then went to the missions at Highland Knoll and Buford Heights!
m
g

It was fun to see my friend Annie from Kenya!

Working on editing the video I shot, posting it on YouTube and burning a DVD to send to the team.

Admin duties now and rest. My knee hurts from where I fell yesterday. I can hear a chorus of “I told you so” in the background. It was still fun and worth the crash.

Carpet! Kathy’s Birthday! Longboard! Run!

Tim A. Cummins @ 6:34 pm

Got up this morning and started cleaning the carpets.
s
I presoak and scrub the stained areas first.

Then I use the carpet cleaner machine from Lowes to finish it off.

Takes about 1.5 hours to do the whole house and get the device cleaned up and ready to take back to Lowes. For $25 I think it’s a good deal.

Ate lunch with Kathy and Ashley at Always Fresh.
a
t
We try and take advantage of the restaurants that have free meals for your birthday. We’ll probably go to Provinos tonight—similar deal!

Got some good exercise on my new Onda Vibe Longboard. It’s a lot of fun. Did 4.02 miles. I did crash once, but I reckon that’s kind of to be expected. I’m ok. Twisted my knee a bit. I use a pole to push with and keep my balance a little better.
t

It has 7 inch wheels and is very stable.
s

Went out for a 5.08 mile run. Felt fine. Knee is a little swollen and stings now. Not bad. I already have my eye on a couple of locations that look pretty flat and should be fun to take the longboard out on.

It was absolutely gorgeous outside. New flowers blooming. Super cool.

Tonight we got to see the International Space Station! My first time!

Kathy thought this one was our speed.
s

I love the rainbows in my kitchen from the sun catcher.
r

Whole lotta Mazzawis. They’re all dentists.
m

Warning sign of the day.
w

I repaired pieces of my 1904 phone and put them together today!

Newsletter! Skateboard! Yard Work! Shopping! Mission!

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:13 pm

Worked on my newsletter this morning! Always fun to get that accomplished.
n

I got my new Onda Skateboard put together. I enjoyed starting to learn how to ride it today.

After riding, I mowed the yard.
m

Mulching the leaves was especially challenging.
l
Also picked out the weeds.
w

Vacuumed the house and took the plants outside after the winter break.
h
Did some shopping at Walmart. Got me some new short pants and flip flops. Yeah, baby!
p
f
Got the stamps for the newsletters.
po

Printed out the labels for the newsletter. The kids at the mission helped me do it.
l
d
k
l

They hardly had any homework. I was glad Kathy came to help. It’s her birthday tomorrow!
k

Ate supper with Jesse this evening. Always good.
j

Home now to rest and do my admin duties.

I think it’s animal cruelty to dress them up like this.
f

Nice view.

Podcast! Family! Recon! Run!

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:00 pm

I didn’t sleep well last night. Woke up kind of woozy. Felt better after a shower!

Had fun recording a new podcast this morning! One of my favorite things! I really like this one called, “INhanced!” It’s important to watch what goes in that marvelous brain of your! Just click on the title and groove!

Had lunch with the whole family!
f
Excellent!
s
j
Ashley and went into recon mode to talk with the managers of the six complexes where our teams will be working on Saturday.

Always awesome working with Ashley!

We also checked out China Town.

i

I liked the carving on the lion’s mane.
a
We’re always looking for new places to take out visiting teams.

I took Ashley home after we talked with the managers. The kids at the mission don’t have homework because of the CRCT tests.

Came home to run 5.24 miles. Beautiful weather and nature at its finest!
t
I ran with a shirt on today. My sunburn is still bothering me. Going into itchy mode now. Ay, caramba! That’s one reason I didn’t sleep well last night.

Beauty outside!
d
w
a
I always like concrete footprints.
s
With the sunlight and shadows you can imagine the print coming up rather than sinking down. Try it!

Enjoyed watching episodes of the Middle with K.

Admin duties now.
