Kathy and I went to Clarkston International Bible Church this morning.
I dressed up to surprise K.
On our way into church, I always enjoy speaking Swahili with my friends from Zaire. I had a prayer time with them.
It was fun hearing Pastor Phil lead the music. He’s got a great voice.
Ate lunch with Jesse at the food court at Northlake Mall.
GREAT to see Jesse.
The food I wanted (a kind of fusion Bengali) was out of business. Got some Chinese. It kind of made my stomach rumble later. Hmmmm.
I thought this sign was odd.
I have a little trouble fitting my new iPhone 7 into my pocket.
I went outside and Batman pulled into the parking lot.
We took a short walk around the mall.
I always want to go faster, faster. Then I usually stop and take a picture. Crazy pace for other people to stay up/wait for.
Came home to clean the house.
Vacuumed.
Then worked on stain removal.
Then swiffer mop.
I even shook the rugs outside.
Enjoyed working on the Zome models. I’m trying to copy a small section of DNA. It’s like a puzzle.
Kathy and I watched the Kardashians. She rode her bike all the way from Clarkston home in about an hour and a half. Pretty impressive. She said she stopped once.
Went for a 2.69 mile run this morning. Felt great.
Always something interesting to see! Looks like a lot of heavy machinery by the lake.
Spent time outside watching the birds.
Very peaceful and interesting. I have birds land within a few feet of me. It’s like being in a giant bird cage.
Flew my AR Drone 2.0 around the yard.
A lot of times it’s too windy to fly the drone. Then I bring out my mini kite. It’s fun too!
Enjoyed working with the Zome tool today. It’s a type of high end lego that’s built to display molecules and atomic structure in crystals. This is all the possible angles from one single hub.
I have fun making different designs.
This is a triacotehedron–it has 30 sides. The Romans believed it was a divine shape.
Watched the Middle with K and episodes of Elementary.
Admin duties now.
Been studying Bengali. Here’s the website I use. It’s called “Learn101”
There’s actually a shadow of this contrail on lower level clouds.
Worked on some tax documents this morning. Took them over for our treasurer to read over.
Talked on the phone with our tax man.
I hot glued some fabrics together for my wife’s aunt.
Had a fun day with BOTH my kids.
Always good. We ate Indian food at Ashiana and talked about the teams coming.
Part of our ministry is finding good host churches for the groups to stay. We went by and talked to folks at One Heart Church, the YMCA, Peachtree Corners, and Crossroads Church.
Good day! Always enjoy talking to folks.
Helped the kids at the mission with their homework.
Mohosana and the other Bengali kids are helping me learn more Bengali. That’s always fun.
Saw a low flying helo around FBC Doraville on my way to the mission.
Enjoyed watching episodes of the Middle with Kathy.
Took out the trash. We have WAY more recycle than trash.
Admin duties now.
My computer was running rrrrrrrreeeealllllyyyyy slowly earlier this evening. Seems better now. Amen.
Hmmmm.
Dead bird outside the mission. Beautiful and gross at the same time.
Kathy and I had a fun Valentines weekend in Rome, GA! Jesse gave us a good send off.
We’d never been there before.
Lots of fun stuff to do.
I’ve been a bird watcher for over forty years.
Seeing a Bald Eagle has definitely been on my bucket list! There is a breeding pair of eagles there on the campus of Berry College.
I’m a big fan of the “EagleCam” streaming live video from the top of a pine tree where the eagles have their nest! So K and I went to see the real nest. We were able to see the top of his head. Super cool.
Enjoyed biking. Lots of good trails in the area.
I also enjoy looking at the architecture.
Berry College had some interesting buildings.
Great food!
This guy reminded us of Kathy’s daddy, Bill Doverspike.
Beautiful clouds.
The clock tower really stood out as something special. It was at the very top of a hill.
We worked at Azalea this afternoon.
I also helped Adit start to learn how to ride a bicycle.
Training wheels came off.
J’s iPhone fell and cracked. Sad. We’ll get it taken care of tomorrow.
K and I are stuck in the house. No driving around from our neighborhood!
I enjoyed getting my 20x microscope and looking at snowflakes.
Actually, it wasn’t really snow but mostly freezing rain here in Stone Mountain. The “snow” was billions of tiny perfectly spherical little balls of ice.
Hard to believe it was there all along, but because of it’s size I just couldn’t see it.
Over 2″.
Amazingly beautiful.
I’m especially vigilant with my bird feeding when we have really bad weather like this.
Enjoyed watching the Way Way Back and After Earth with K. I liked them both.
This morning I worked on an application for grant money for one of the kids at the mission. I had to write an essay about why he should receive the scholarship.
Hope the support him!
I finally got the Glif in the mail. It’s a holder for an iPhone.
It can be used as a stand.
As well as a way to connect the iPhone to a tripod.
That’s great when using the iPhone for a video recording.
Looked at a bottom drawer in my desk today. I wonder when the last time I did that was? Floppys and 35mm film. Wow.
Cold day outside. Kind of rainy. I enjoyed eating lunch with Kathy.
Restful afternoon as we hunkered down to avoid the big ice storm. Really nothing to speak of.
Had fun watching many episodes of the Middle with K.
Been reading books that I got on Amazon, including a book on memory, another on snowflakes, clouds, building props, Steampunk and what I’m currently looking at 101 Geo locations in the USA. FUN!
