Had a vigorous 5.00 mile run this morning.
I took Mooglie.
It was harder running with her today.
She’s still learning how to run with someone. It’s a pretty hard stop when she suddenly want to check her pee mail.
Always something beautiful and interesting to see.
This mushroom has ridges rather than tubes or gills. First one I’ve seen.
Beauty!
I liked these different kinds of Coleus plants.
Rested after getting cleaned up. Then off to work with the kids at the mission. I was early so I stopped at the Walmart in Tucker to see what plants they had on sale. Some beautiful palms. They were marked down from $25 to $10.50. Just a second ago I noticed that that price was reduced by HALF again. So it cost only $5! I’ll definitely go back and get more tomorrow.
This one had a type of small, yellow mushroom growing out of it.
Enjoyed working at the mission.
My friend Amit from England called me today on Face Time while I was at the mission. My kids had fun seeing my English friend. He was getting in touch to invite me to his wedding.
I was especially proud of Nishi and Maria and their Clara Barton project.
It was Maria’s birthday. Jesse gives the kids candy.
Sweet kid.
Ate supper with Jesse. Always good.
K and I watched the end of Last Vegas. I thought it was pretty funny.

I saw this caterpillar in the garage. Fantastic.
You can tell I just pressure washed the concrete.
Wow.
Interesting graphic.
Say WHAT?!

Big challenge today. Cleaned up an area of my basement that was mighty dirty. Had to move a ton of stuff.
Cleaned up the area.
Ate a salad at McDonalds. This Burger King employee was there taking a nap.
On the way to Walmart, I noticed these mushrooms on the side of the road. Parked and took pictures. Fabulous.
This type of mushroom does not have gills, they have tubes. It’s one of the signs to indicate that it might be edible. If they have gills, and most do, never think about eating them!
These golden yellow colored mushrooms were a few feet away.
Went to Walmart to pick up some supplies. In order to have plants on that table, I needed light. Fortunately, Walmart had lights on sale for $7. Bulbs were cheap, too.
I saw this Red Shouldered Hawk on the way home. Magnificent.
Cleaned the floors with the wet dry vac.
And with the Swiffer mop.
Put everything in order.
Got cleaned up and ate supper with Kathy.
They had a lift machine in the parking lot. I thought it was cool.
Lots of warning signs.
Watched Enders Game. K didn’t like it. I thought it was pretty good.

I liked these paragraphs from an article I was reading in Wired about the next generation of Siri type products.
And this on intelligence.

Ashley and I had a fun day today!
We met up at Azalea and drove over to Marietta. We ate lunch with David Tate who is our new regional director for the Marietta, Cobb County area.
We went to the Columns at Bentley Manor and Dwell on Franklin apartment complexes to meet with the managers.
After our tours of the property, we dropped David off and went back downtown to walk around the square and get some ice cream. It was awesome.
Got gas. I usually fill up when it’s on 1/4.
Went back to Chamblee to work with the kids at the mission.
We had a visitor from Perimeter church come to enjoy soccer with the boys at the mission.
They seemed to have a good time.
Stopped at Walmart. Yesterday, I got home without deodorant. Today, I went back, showed them the receipt and got my deodorant. It’s a smell thing.
After years of faithful service, I’m finally retiring my iPhone 5s holster. I had it when I had an iPhone 4.
Not even hot glue seemed to hold it together any longer. The back was down to the metal that I wrapped with electrical tape.
Enjoyed watching Escape Plan with Kathy this evening.

Kathy and I met up with Ashley in Clarkston then drove to Perimeter Church for their annual missions fair.
It was great to see my friend Chip Sweeney there. We go back in ministry seventeen years.
The people are great!
We had a very strong response with over 40 people signing up for more information and wanting to tour the International Village and work at Azalea.
One of the best conferences in a long time.
Perimeter actually had a bunch of skateboards for the kids to ride on. Wow.
We also taught some kids how to make balloon animals. They helped us give out over 200 balloons.
Ate lunch with with the girls and Jesse too! We went by Azalea to pick him up.
Came home to rest and plan for next week.
Rained at our house. Went out afterwards to play with bubbles. When the air is so moist they last for several minutes.
It really is amazing.
Got a new case for my new camera. My new camera is slightly longer than my last camera.
Decided it was time to retire the old one, especially since my camera some how came out of it.
I’d patched it up a lot.
My new camera has some interesting functions. It can give six different versions of each shot. Then you can select from the group.
Last week, I ran five miles at sunset and early dark. I noticed a lot of bats on a couple of the streets. This evening I saw a bat on our street! I was quite excited by that.
I saw him by this streetlight.
Enjoyed watching The Butler with Kathy this evening.

This morning I worked in the garden. I replanted two large corn plants.
While I was doing that, I reached for my camera to document what was going on and NO camera! The case that I have on my belt was there, but not the camera. I searched for over an hour and a half. All through the yard, I’d even been up on the roof cleaning branches. Went back up on the roof.
All through the house. Completely through the car. Absolutely baffling. I’m sure it’ll turn up, but if it’s outside . . . well that’s never good. I’d gotten a little over two years out of it and it was actually a free replacement of another camera! That’s why I always get the insurance.
It has some different features than my previous camera. Better quality HD video for one. It also has wifi, although I’m not sure I’d use that. It’s the Canon Power Shot ELPH 340 HS. I’ve shot this family of cameras for years. They are amazing.
It was a sad day because of my camera. It served me well! Looking forward to using my new one!
I also repotted one of the hibiscus.
Put a 12 pack of begonias into little pots.
As far as my inside plants go: the orchids, Venus Fly Traps and African Violets seem happy.
Good color saturation in the new camera.
This little orchid is still a juvenile.
I got her from a orchid grower in Florida. It’s blooms are amazing and they’re supposed to smell like gardenias and orange blossoms. Yeah, baby!
