Podcast! T&K! Tybee! Savannah!
Thursday morning I recorded a new podcast!
I love this edition on the character that we play in this reality. Check out “The Show!”
Kathy and I had a fun TK weekend! She loves being on the road!
Loaded up the car with the bikes. They play an integral role in our trips. I love exploring a city by bike.
Our ultimate destination on our weekends is Tybee Island/Savannah. We enjoy going when there are not too many people. Plus a lot cheaper. It was supposed to rain the whole time. Not a drop until this morning. It was overcast, which is fine by me.
Beautiful sunset as we left Atlanta.
Yeah, baby!
I really enjoyed shooting the plants and flowers in Tybee and Savannah. Especially with the Super Vivid filter on.
A city of pirates.
The lighthouse is a must do.
The beach is always beautiful.
I rode 20 miles one day. We were pooped.
The monochrome filter also gave interesting effects.
I collected some small succulents on my trip. I felt like Darwin.
Lots of cicadas this weekend.
It has been damp and rainy. Mushrooms!
Of all sizes.
Bonaventure cemetery is always a high point of my trip.
Exquisite carvings.
I always go and clean up my grave. This time someone had put a pink bunny behind the headstone!
And the lawn guys are taking care of it, too. Funny.
The site is near the very southern edge of the cemetery. I often find old flowers that have been thrown away. I wash them off and put them up.
I also found this old bottle when I was picking up flowers.
It also has a view to the river.
Kathy likes to sit here and watch the boats.
I love reading the Hebrew inscriptions. Or pretending to.
My favorite mode of transportation.
Beauty.
We rode 12 miles on this Tybee RR trail.
It was overcast and an easy ride for me. I practiced riding my bike with no hands nearly the whole way.
I’m enjoying playing with the filters. Even monochrome has it’s place.
The road was washed away in a couple of places. I had to hike the last half mile on foot.
I like the prayer flags.
Always something interesting to see.
I enjoyed visiting River Street. I park my car and ride my bike up and down the streets in the historic district.
Amazing trees!
I remember when they covered the cobblestones with dirt and shot the parade scene for the movie Glory.
I always visit St. John the Baptist Cathedral. It’s my favorite.
They’ve done a recent renovation. More beautiful than ever.
Magnificent stained glass.
I visited the old WTOC TV11 building. Many good memories there.
SCAD took the building over. It’s called Keyes Hall now. It’s an admin building.
Did you know I have nine Associated Press awards for my work in news?
I actually started wearing the map jacket this weekend. Cooling off!
