Productive day!
A year ago today I first saw my hummingbirds back. I worked on cleaning the feeders again. I actually leave them up all year long. Wishful thinking I reckon. I have fewer each year. Same for honey bees.
I didn’t see them. : (
One of my favorite things: RECORDING!
This is a terrific episode of Verbal Surgery! Want to get better? Just speed up a little with “Large Format!” Just click on the title and GROOVE!

Dropped off Jesse’s taxes to the mail.
Did the shopping at Walmart.
Helped the guys at Discount Appliance install our new washing machine. Yeah, baby!
Exciting news! I’m headed to the Holy Land! I booked my tickets from the ATL to Tel Aviv for May 2nd coming home on the 16th.
I’m really looking forward to studying and learning more about Judaism and how it fits with what we believe as Christians. It’ll be a fun sabbatical!
After I figured out what flights to take (lots of things to consider!) I went outside and worked on the yard.
Mowed.
Raked.
Weeded.
Cleaned up. Very, very close to work.
I bought some little clay lamps from Israel a few months ago. My original plan didn’t work out. I had thought we would take them to Stone Mountain in the evening and have a prayer service.
They didn’t light up very well. And I found out we weren’t allowed on Stone Mountain after dark.
So I decided to paint them gold and give them as gifts to the team leaders who work with us!
Showered and looking forward to spending time with K. We enjoyed watching part of Foyle’s War.
This tree is a survivor!

Lots of important work today! I’m still feeling a little bit under the weather. Drank too much water last night and had to wake up to go to the bathroom about every hour. That’s not zesty.
Our washing machine went dead Saturday.
I had to drain the water out.
Wring the clothes.
Put the clothes in a bag. Unhook the machine.
Then take the old machine outside for pick up tomorrow.
K and I dropped off “Big Red” the Expedition, off at Stone Mountain Tire and Battery. This morning, they put on tires all the way around!
Stopped at Pet Smart to pick up another draining hose. I broke the other one I had working on the washing machine.
Went to our Discount Appliance place to pick out another refurbished machine.
For $250, I got a heavy duty washer that they’ll deliver to our house and hook up and take the old one away. Sounds like a plan!
There’s a good gyro place near the appliance store. I picked up several gyro plates and took them to Ashley’s house.
Always great to see P!
Came home to work on updating the podcasts to my Verbal Surgery website.
Spent good time with Jesse!
He’s great with tech! Kathy’s phone had pretty much stopped working. I upgraded my phone and gave her my old one. It’ll be a vast improvement for us both. We are on the “Next” plan, so we can upgrade every year.
I also got a surprise for Ashley while I was there.
Wild flowers!
I love my new bromeliad!

Kathy and I had a great time at Rockbridge Baptist Church this morning.
I really enjoyed listening to Carl Barrington’s exposition in Daniel.
I preached on “Outreach Greatest Hits.” I went in Rabbi Mode. The messaged seemed well received! We’ll see what happens.
Had lunch with Kathy and our friends Carl and Pat Barrington after church. Great time with them.
Resting now and admin duties.
Looking forward to time with K!

I had a productive day! I’m still not feeling great. Scratchy throat and tired.
Spent most of the day with Kathy. Always good!
Picked up her meds.
Dropped off a return to Amazon.
We got her glasses fixed. They keep getting stretched out of shape.
Ate Nepali food. Excellent.
I think the flags are cool.
Went to Lowes to make some extra keys.
Took some food to the mission for the kids. Also left some goodies for Jesses.
To the church to sort some equipment.
Picked up some things for my presentation at Rockbridge Baptist Church tomorrow morning. Including my Rabbi clothes!
Dropped off some tshirts the team from last week left me to St. Vincent de Pauls.
Came home to rest.
Worked on Kathy’s meds.
Then started getting all the things together to hand out to the congregation tomorrow.
Every bag has a pen, a prayer card, two index cards, two mints and a red thread.
I had to add magnets to more prayer cards.
Cut and added oil from the Holy Land to more Red Thread.
K and I prepared about 150 bags!
I’ll be using the same presentation at my church Westside Baptist, next Sunday as well.
Finished up the Power Point presentation I’ll be using tomorrow. I’ll probably add more refinements to it next week, but it’s good to go!
Admin duties now. I’ll be going to sleep soon!

Stayed up till about 1:30am talking to Jesse last night! Always a blessing!
Wasn’t feeling well this morning. Super tired after the last three days. Scratchy throat and just whipped.
Worked on admin duties after I woke up. Included editing the video that I shot, uploading the video to YouTube, burning a dvd for the team and send them an email with the links to the media.
To the bank to deposit checks. AMEN!
Cleaned the debris from the storm last night off the driveway.
Rained nearly 1.5″.
Went to take my amplifier in to get repaired.
One of the channels isn’t working. I’d like to have both channels so we can use both of our wireless microphones.
Walmart and Dollar Tree for supplies for this coming Sunday and next Sunday. I’ll be preaching on “Outreach Greatest Hits.” My ideas for how best to share with the community.
I picked up about 300 picnic bags which will have a couple of mints, a pen, a red thread and two notecards.
Total cost for the 320 bags and supplies was $64.
Also picked up some LED lights and extension cords for our displays. I think the extra light will really make them pop!
Each member will decorate a bag to either give to a neighbor or put in their mail box. The note will mention an invitation to our church. It will also say that, “You’re MINT to be loved!”
The note cards will be a promise to pray for one individual lost friend.
The Red Thread will serve as a Prayer Trigger.
I’m excited to see what will happen when they adopt some of these strategies.
It’s a lot of work to get these together and I still need to get the Power Point presentation together. It’ll be a busy day tomorrow!
Enjoyed watching Foyle’s War with K this evening.
Trying to get an early night.
Say what?!

Shared the link on Facebook.
Met up with Ashley, Penelope and staff from Mobilizing Students.
We enjoyed lunch together.
Then went to the church to set up for The Show.
GREAT to have help. Took us about 45 minutes.
Sent Ashley home so she and the baby could enjoy Miles!
Then took the team on a recon of the missions where the teams will be working tomorrow.
Sent them on, then went to Walmart to pick up supplies for the mission.
We’ll be doing the Easter story on Wednesday. Need some goodies before them.
The kids helped me do the labels for the newsletter.
They always enjoy the doughnuts.
Came home to do some cleaning. Cleared off the driveway and garage areas. Tons of pollen.
Also cleaned a comforter that we use on our couch outside.
Enjoyed watching Foyle’s War with K this evening.
Admin duties now.
