This morning Kathy and I enjoyed Westside Baptist Church.

I liked the Submarine set they had for VBS.

I sang as part of an impromptu choir.

The kids were cute.

Pastor Ben spoke on being a good father. Not an easy job, but SO rewarding! Of course I have the best kids in the world, so it’s easy to brag.

Ate lunch with Kathy and Jesse. Never too much J!

I enjoyed watching the mama raccoon. She picks up things mainly by touch. She doesn’t look at the ground much. Plus her back legs are real long sort of like kangaroo back legs.

Restful afternoon. Around 6:30 I met up with Ashley, Miles and Penelope at FBC Doraville. We set up the room for The Show. Takes two people about 1hr. With Miles’ help we were finished in about 45 minutes.

Just got off the phone with my Mom. My Dad fell in the bathroom today and is in the ER right now. His legs just went weak on him. Prayers are appreciated.

Went to lunch at Jason’s Deli with Kathy to celebrate her sister Ruth’s birthday! Great to see some of the Duvall clan again!

Watched the final episode of the series of Downton Abbey. I thought they did a good job of tying up loose ends and ending with everyone being happy. I’m a sucker for happy endings.

I’ve been enjoying watching the short videos from my game trail camera. I think there are at least 3 and possibly 4 different raccoons that visit my feeders. And one young opossum. FUN!

I tried the traditional method of tying my camera to a tree. I liked the viewpoint from ground level better.

Came home to rest and work on admin duties.

Worked on catching up my admin duties this morning. Really tired last night.

Edited the video I shot.

Encoded the file into mp4.

Uploaded to my server.


Sent the final thank you email. Burned the DVD. Got it in the mail.


Cleaned the fish tank and watered my plants.

Always something to recycle.

Ashley dropped the Magnificent Baby off with me this morning. I took her to Always Fresh. She liked the mashed potatoes with gravy the best.

We had fun today. I had her go through the obstacle course.

We also had percussion practice.

She fell asleep on my chest, which is just the best ever. I told Ashley that the only thing better is to really get her laughing.

She’s always such a smiling, happy baby. What a pure delight.

K and I went to Alcove Coffee for Jesse’s first VR showcase.

It’s a beautiful location.

It was well attended and the people were blown away.

Watched the next to last episode of Downton Abbey with K this evening.

Took them to Ashiana for Indian food.

Then to the Shiv Mandir to get an up close look at Hinduism.

Over to Al Madina to check out the Middle East.

I bought a Chinese hat today that has a long, black pony tail. It will be hilarious.

I like our new rug for the stage.

We took them on the Safari to Asian Square.

Lunch at Penang.

Got them on site at the missions. Rained from the beginning. Then REALLY rained for a while.

Eventually, Ash called the leadership to tell them to go on back to the hotel. It became a safety issue.

Always a good time.

We took them on safari to the Buford Highway Farmers Market. Ate there. Good food.



Then to the missions!

Ashley and I are always working on how to improve the look of The Show. We’re working on placing some small spot lights. Put our new carpet down. Looks great.

I enjoyed going to church with Kathy this morning. We went to Brookhaven Christian Church because our good friend Deborah was singing.

It’s good to have a crowd that’s rooting for you. Their group sounded great.

After church we ate at Piccadilly. Good company with interesting conversation.

Came home to check my game camera. Sure enough! My mama raccoon came to visit me about 9:18pm and stayed for about 20 minutes. It’s cool tech!

Today I’ve been working on producing 28 packets of Power Prayer for our partners coming to work with us. Copies, cutting, gluing, collating. It’s a way of life and a labor of love.

Had lunch with Jesse and Kathy. Always good.

I’m working on some alternate lighting systems for our production with the teams. To see the screen well, the front area needs to be dark. But then it’s hard to see Ashley and me. I’ll fill these with water and put a very bright LCD light to illuminate it. I also bought colored gels so they can be different colors.

I have to take off the labels and clean the adhesive. Yucky job.

I got a game trail camera! I’m pretty excited to see what comes to my feeders. Especially at night.

I recorded this episode while waiting for my oil to get changed and my emission to get checked. All passed! They did tell me that I’d need a rear brake job in the next 2,000 miles and that I had a pin hole in my radiator. Don’t need to get that repaired, yet, but make sure the reservoir kept filled up.

Met up with Ashley and Penelope for lunch. Always awesome!

Came home to work on editing, uploading and burning a dvd of the video I shot of Mountain View this week.


Got the package ready to mail.

Got my new passport in the mail! Yeah, baby! It’s the jumbo size of 52 pages. That’s optimism!

Started working on producing more copies of my book Power Prayer. It’s one of the gifts we give to the youth directors who work with us. I have to print out three pages, cut them to fit and glue the cover onto the gold envelope.

Also have to burn a usb drive in the shape of a gold key. I think it’s pretty groovy.

The key also has some videos of Story Tim and 20 of my favorite episodes of Verbal Surgery.

More lawn work this afternoon. I worked the edger and blower today.
