Portuguese! FBC Mountain Park! Mission!

Tim A. Cummins @ 12:16 am

Studied Portugese this morning. I’ve been waking up at 5:00am and studing for about 1:30 hours.

Went to FBC Mountain Park to talk with Pastor Paul Ballard and Kevin Lamb about housing the Haitian Para Olympic Soccer Team for a week. They’ll be here for a week.

I was sure was glad to get that taken care of!

I thought this dew covered spider web was cool.

Been reading the book Suggestible You by Erik Vance.

Picked up checks at FBC Doraville.

Enjoyed playing with the kids and helping with their homework.

Penelope loves the sandbox.

Happy children!
We got to see Sandra’s baby, Mateo! What a little cutie!

Beautiful sunset.

Portuguese! LIVE! Girls! Mission! ISS!

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:08 pm

Worked on Portuguese this morning!

Released a new version of Verbal Surgery -509- “Rising Kite!”

Just click on the title and GROOVE!

Went LIVE on Facebook with the video version of “Rising Kite.” Great stuff.

Then went Live with a Portugese edition called, “Por Que Fazer Hipnose.” Basically that was about helping people every chance we get.

The girls came over to the house today! What a blessing!
SWING!
Enjoying reading Suggestible You by Erik Vance.
Helped the kids at the mission. Enjoyed being with Everly today!
Hard to get a shot with Penelope like this! She doesn’t like stuff in her hair or on her head!
Spotted the International Space Station for the 33rd time this evening!
Starts with a message from NASA.
Then track with Skywatch. Although it doesn’t seem to be synching up very well with the actual position these days. It does show where it will be, it’s just about four minutes off.
I helped about half a dozen kids see it this evening. We had fun!
Been calling and contacting friends of my in churches to try and get housing for a ParaOlympic team coming in on Thursday from Haiti with a friend of mine Fred Sorrells. Pray that that comes together soon! Nothing so far, but I’ve only been working on it a one day! They come in Thursday!
Admin duties now.
Still need to work on a chapter in my book Quantum Metaphors.

Penelope Turns 2!

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:03 pm

Added more material to my Twitter feed last night. I have tweets scheduled into March of 2018!

Studied Portuguese! Certo!
Lotta days in a row!

I recorded a new episode of Verbal Surgery this morning. A friend of mine had ALL his stuff stolen along with his car. Heart breaking. When I feel a lot of emotion, my recordings are always way more powerful. I’ll release it tomorrow. It’s called “Rising Kite.”

Saw this truck on the way into Chamblee. I wonder what country THAT is?

Penelope turned TWO today! I met up with the girls around noon. I needed a lot of time with them today!

We went to the Simply Mac store in Norcross first. Ashley’s computer had dropped and had stuff poured on it. (Whoops, Penelope!) When we got to the store, it powered up perfectly! Thank you, Jesus!

I’ve been in a primarily vegetarian mode these days. We went to a S. Indian vegetarian food place today called Udipi. We thought it was excellent!

It was great to hang out with the girls!
On the way back home, we stopped at the Goodwill in Duluth. I got Penelope lots of fun things for her birthday including this slide and blue dinosaur!

It was fun to watch her sliding down over and over and over again!

Beautiful Full Sun Moon today. My Indian name.

Helped the kids with their homework.

I spent most of my time playing with Penelope and the kids outside.

Beautiful sunset!

Lovely moon!

We had a fun party for Penelope! Kids had pizza and cookies!

Everyone sang Happy Birthday!

Penelope got a little shy with EVERYONE singing so loudly!

She liked the big cookie!

GREAT to see the Kendalls!

Got to talk with my Mom this evening, too!

Biggest news was that I heard from my mentor Fred Sorrells today! We worked together a lot in Africa. He’s bringing a team from Haiti to the ATL this week. I’m helping him get lodging and some media coverage as well as inside the soccer establishment here locally.

Had coversations with my friends Larry Lawrence and Austin Alridge about it!

Always fun to be around Fred. He’s a blessing!

Admin duties now. Feeling pretty tired.

Studied Portuguese this morning!

Also read my new book “Suggestible You” by Erik Vance.

Went to Westside BC!

Pastor Ben preached on the Christmas Season.

Beautiful camilias outside the church.

Went for a 15.49 mile bike ride. I’m still figuring out how to dress for the cold weather.

After I got home, I cleaned my porch and dojo areas.

At 6:31pm I had my 32nd spotting of the International Space Station! Super clear and bright viewing. AWESOME!

Admin duties now.

I’ll work on my book this evening, too. I’m planning on writing about the boyhood games we played. Bad craziness!

Portuguese! Newsletter! Bike!

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:41 pm

Studied Portuguese this morning. Certo!

Didn’t sleep well last night. I went to sleep pretty early, but didn’t fall asleep till after 3:00am. Ouch!

I was up early to see the sunrise.

Started reading a new book called “Suggestible You.” Fascinating work on placebo.

I liked these passages.

Wrote and laid out my newsletter.

Sent it to Joel Harrison to get printed.

Took about an hour nap. I was super tired.
Then went for a 6.89 mile bike ride. Went slowly. Trying to be safe. It felt cold.
Beautiful sun effects.

For some reason this reminded me of me.

Gave myself a haircut this morning.

Cleaned my fish tank.

Watered my plants.

I will still work on my book, Quantum Metaphors this evening.

Enjoying playing Battlefront 2.

Admin duties now.

LIVE! Christmas lights!

Tim A. Cummins @ 11:16 pm

I released a new episode of Verbal Surgery -508- “Mountain Top Tunnels!” Want to be happier? Then jump into this edition! Click on the title and GROOVE!

I’m trying to make it a habit to record a LIVE video version of Verbal Surgery whenever I release a podcast! I had a fun time going live today on Facebook!

Something I found even MORE exciting was also going live with an edition in Portuguese! Wow! It’s really stretching myself to think and record in another language, especially one that’s still pretty new to me! The feedback was astonishingly positive. I even heard from Orville Boyd Jenkins who is to me THE language guru of them all. When HE says I did well, dang!

I find it super fun to try, and that was really the point of the episode: TRY! Push yourself towards excellence!

I studied Portuguese this morning. Duolingo told me that my streak had been broken. I was absolutely positive that I had indeed reached my goal. It was because of resetting my phone and disengaging from the iPhone cloud. So I invested a little money as a donation to Duolingo to preserve my streak!

I am REALLY enjoying a new documentary series on Netflix called Abstract. It features artists from many different paradigms. I’ve especially loved Bjarke Ingels and Es Deviln, but they’ve all been superb.

I found Tinker Hatfield’s work with shoes also very engaging.

Did the shopping at Walmart. I was astonished by the lack of people there on Black Friday! I guess people really are using Amazon more! I know I am. I thought it was a great idea!

I treated myself to a nice lunch at Golden Corral. I had a fabulous salad with tons of different vegetables. I pretty much don’t eat meat any more.

After lunch, I went across the street to an antique place I like. I didn’t buy anything, but I always enjoy looking. I thought this owl piece was interesting.

I went to the Post Office to send a small gift to a friend of mine in the Netherlands for helping me post video of my presentation in London.

I think she’ll like what I sent her!
I got word that my bike was repaired. Went to pick it up. Traffic was horrible. There was some kind of parade in downtown Stone Mountain. Finally, got it. Had to go the back way through Stone Mountain Park.

I decided to go to Stone Mountain Village on may way home this evening to look at the lights! Look what else I saw!

One of my favorite themes with Christmas lights is the ‘swish’ move. I shoot the picture with no flash, which holds the apeture open and move the camera. I think it gets some really interesting effects. I also shot with a color enhancement filter. Beauty!

Fun time in the Village!

The Snow Mountain sliding ramp also looked cool.

Cool walk way!

Wrote another chapter in my book called “Slingshots and Bad Ideas.” Funny! I’m almost at 20,000 words!

Had a fun time playing Battlefront 2 today.

Admin duties now.

Portuguese! QM! Thanksgiving!

Tim A. Cummins @ 6:47 pm

My phone is getting backed up and reinstalled on other hard drives by my IT guy, Jesse! So I don’t have pictures yet.

I studied Portuguese. Surprised?

I’m on day 222 STRAIGHT!

Also wrote a new chapter in my book Quantum Metaphors called “Night Visitor.” It’s about, squeaking tennis shoe sounds! What made them?

Had a fun Thanksgiving with family. A diminished crowd. As we’ve gotten older, our children have other assignments with extended family. Bill and his friend Deborah, David and Ruth, Paul and Luke, Ann and Bob and Jesse, Kathy and me. It was still a fun time. Bill is a psychologist and neuro guy so we always have fun talking.

Went through QM with one of my new favorite programs: grammerly. It’s great at catching typos and making suggestions. I still override it a lot of the time.

I created the Chapter page in my new book Quantum Metaphors.

Enjoying playing Battlefront 2. I thought that the main game would be longer. I think it plays into the new movie which is coming out soon!

Admin duties now.

Portuguese! Verbal Surgery! Girls! Yard!

Tim A. Cummins @ 6:46 pm

Studied Portuguese this morning! Otimo! I continue to make progress. One of my friends from Brazil asked me to go live in Portuguese. Talvez eu vou tentar!

I released a new episode of Verbal Surgery -507-“Elastic Plastic.” Stretch yourself in new ways and make them permanent with this awesome edition!

Just click on the title and GROOVE!
Went LIVE with “Elastic Plastic.” Incredible how much I enjoy listening to myself talk. Awesome live shot!

Had a fun time with Ashley, Penelope and Everly this morning! I took them to lunch at the Krog St. station. We ate a Yalla’s! It was delicious!
Penelope is so nimble!
Beautiful leaves.
I enjoy spoiling Penelope.
That goes for ALL the girls!
Got my roof and yard blown off. Great to have that done!

Having fun playing Battlefront 2!

QM! Portuguese! Shopping! Cleaning!

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:34 pm

I wrote two new chapters for my new book Quantum Metaphors last night and one this morning!

Woke up at 3:00am and studied Portuguese for nearly an hour.

Cleaned and sorted our living room in preparation for family coming over on Thursday. Stored the extra stuff downstairs.

Took back a tent to Walmart.

Glad to say that Jesse has decided not to stay outside any more.

Did the family shopping.
Played Battlefront 2. Wow! The graphics and story line are awesome!

Sorted batteries that Kathy found this evening.
I will probably work on my book some more later tonight.

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:43 pm

Edited video that I shot of the team from Rockbridge Baptist Church last night.
Uploaded to YouTube and sent a confirmation email to our teams.
Studied Portuguese this morning.

Went to Westside BC! Pastor Ben spoke on reaching out to our neighbors.
Played Battlefront 2! FUN!

Live shot on Facebook this evening! Talked about Carpe Diem and the chapter I wrote from Quantum Metaphors–“Blaze of Glory.” Nearly getting killed covering a forest fire.
Went back to Westside this evening for our Thanksgiving Supper party. Delicious. Although I overate.
Watered my plants. I have a lot more inside now! Supposed to freeze tonight.

Admin duties now. Still need to write a chapter in my book. Little every day. Emphasis on EVERY day!
